There was a time when humans and supernatural beings coexisted and there was peace in the world.
Somewhere unknown a witch lived deep in the forest.She had many friends as animals and trees.Near that forest was a small village ,It was a poor village which barely met its ends. The old witch was a healer and would always arrive when called.
Once a rich man came to this village.He saw that the trees of this forest would come to good use.He bribed a few villagers into cuting it down.The villager knew they wouldn't be able to cut it down,unless they kept the witch away..so they decided to trick her.They called her and sent her to a far off village saying that some poor villager was very ill and needed her help.She trusted them blindly.After she was gone.They all began to cut the trees in the forest.Many animals were killed.The rich man paid a hefty sum to the villagers and left.
The villagers had a wonderful evening celebration. But that night the witch returned,when she saw that her home was destroyed and her friends were killed.She disguised herself and met one of the villagers.She learnt what they had done..Filled with rage she cursed all the villagers with a deadly disease..All the villagers were tortured and they all died a painful death..
When the king of the land heard this ,he ordered the killing of the witch.But when the soldiers arrived ,they were attacked by the other witches..The king now furious ordered the killing of all the witches(this is actually recorded in human history,though we didnt know why the witches were being killed.)
Since the number of humans were more than that of the witches ,many witches were caught,hanged and burnt.Many supernaturals supported the witches but had similar fates.They all died.Humans had learnt their weaknesses and were now creating weapons for their destruction..
To save their diminishing numbers the supernaturals decided to stay away from humans and go into hiding..
Hence this was the birth of the under earth.
