No remorse

"I told you honey..he wasn't upto any good"

My eyes were swollen .I had cried too much.I couldn't think straight.My body still shivering .Jeff was sitting next to me,holding me,while aunt Helga tried to talk to me.

"We should give her a break Helga .she's been through much"

"Yes..I agree "she said and walked towards the kitchen.

Something rang in Jeff's pocket.he picked up a cube..and it immediately turned into a phone..he received the call.

."yes....have you...no not yet....i'm coming with a guest....no......keep everything ready.."he clicked a button and put the cube back in the pocket.

He turned to me and said"I want you to come with me"

"I....I don't want to go anywhere right now...."I replied.

"You will want to see this" he said,his intentions were clear..he wouldn't take no.

He held my hand and we transported to another place.it was a dungeon...the smell of rot and  decay eminent.

Henry was standing infront of a wooden door.....he looked at me and then turned to Jeff.

"I don't think thiS is necessary...."

"She needs to see this Henry."Jeff replied.

He stepped aside and opened the door..there were a lot of guards in that room.They were guarding a prisoner.....he was covered in blood..looking at the floor..I turned around to look at Jeff...but he gestured to move forward...I stepped forward...the prisoner looked up into my eyes...I could recognize those green eyes anywhere.

"Raymond"I said .My emotions dead.

"Sandra..."he choked out.he had been beaten up.there were fresh  wounds everywhere.His eyes were relieved and tired.But I tried to keep a straight face.I turned around and saw Jeff looking at me.,waiting to see my reaction...when he saw I didn't give any..He muttered"I think its best you decide what to do with him"

I looked once more into Raymond's beautiful eyes.His eyes now almost hopeful.

"I want nothing to do with this man "I said..confidence and anger in my voice.

" Sandra......."Raymond struggled to talk " listen to me..."

"No ....no more...I trusted you blindly..do you know what you did to me...do you"I was turning fervid.

He was silent...eyes focussing on the ground.

I turned to walk away from him...I didn't want to see his face anymore.

"Sandra..."he said.."I know what I did was a terrible mistake..but there are things I am supposed to do.."

Jeff finally spoke up"you don't need to hear this...Henry take her outside."

Henry took me outside and just as door shut I heard Raymond say "....and I'm sorry for what I'm gonna do now."

When I woke up I was lying in a pile of rubble.Men in soldier uniforms were roaming all over the place.

One of them came and helped me up.

"what happened here..??"I asked in confusion.

"There was blast, Maam.....deep in the dungeons your lucky you survived..you weren't close to it"

Close to it!!!...I was practically next to it..."did you see prince Jeff or Henry"

"No.....I believe they were in the dungeon...I don't think they survived....I don't think anyone survived".
