He loves me? Yeah right...

Chapter 7

“Hi”, he said shoving his hands into the pocket of his dark jeans. He was wearing a white shirt and a black blazer on top of it. He was looking good.

“Hey, you made it, how did you find my house by the way?”

“I asked your friend Jake, I hope you don’t mind”, he said scratching the back of his neck.

Stupid Jake!!  I really thought I had a chance to get out of this.

I smiled shaking my head.

I could hear Chelsea making her way towards us. It sounded like a bull was toppling with an elephant down the stairs.

She came running and stood behind my back.

“Is it really him?” she whispered.

“Um... yeah” I said whispering as well.

“What are you whispering about?” Jesse asked moving to see who was behind me.

“Oh hi...” he said smiling waving his hand.

“Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god!” Chelsea started hyperventilating.

“It’s okay Chelsea”, I said trying to control my laughter.

She was literally hiding behind my back.

“You’re making a fool of yourself in front of your dream boy right now, calm down”, I told her shaking my head.

“Yeah right!” she said straightening herself.

“Hi Jesse, I’m Chelsea”, she said trying to sound confident but it didn’t fool me.

“So this is your beautiful friend you were talking about”, he said gesturing towards Chelsea.

He is saying that as if we both have been friends since a long time. Stupid pig!

Chelsea blushed like a ripe tomato. He was a real charmer. No wonder girls throw themselves at him.

“Ha-ha, yeah…” I said feeling weird.

Chelsea was openly ogling Jesse without a shame in the world.

“Yeah soo…  Let’s get going girls”, he said gesturing to the waiting fancy car in the driveway.

I gulped.

In front of me was a very expensive looking red sports car. I didn’t know much about cars but I was sure that this car was one hell of a ride.

“Wow”, Chelsea breathed.

Jesse started walking towards the car and we followed. There was a man in the driver’s seat whom Jesse introduced us as his driver/bodyguard, his name was Ralph.

Ralph just gave a nod towards us. I was feeling more and more agitated by the passing minute. All this was new. If I was feeling this way I have no idea what was going through Chelsea’s head right now. She adored Jesse.

We all sat in the car with Jesse in the passenger seat and we both girls at the back.

Chelsea and I were silent in the back. I feel Chelsea was still trying to get over the fact that she was sitting with Jesse in the car going to the mall for shopping.

It was really awkward. Finally we arrived at our destination.
