We both agreed to go through the forest area as she said she knows the perfect short cut to way to my home. What an excuse to be with me. After all, I'm way too good looking, she eventually has to fall for me. Mentally I laughed but suddenly she looked at me with the same angry expression and I remove all those imagines of mine. Actually, the reality was I begged really hard to her for letting me be with her.
My legs were already killing me and by the time I was not only feeling thirsty but hungry too. My shirt was torn from the shoulder side because of the branches of the small trees on which my shirt stuck. She was taking me through some paths which were actually hypnotising me. After almost walking for at least fifteen minutes she finally said, "Here, leave now!". I pushed the full branch of the tree and finally saw the city roads and I laughed with joy. Before I could do say 'thank you' to her, she disappeared into the woods.
I finally began to walk to the way to my home when suddenly I noticed the same guy who I saw this morning again looking at me in a creepy manner. My heartbeat suddenly began faster and I become nervous. Quickly I made big steps towards my home when I realize that he was following me. This made me more panic and I just began to fast my pace but before I could even run I hit into some wall which results in falling flat on my bum.
"Ouch", I exclaim in pain. "Hey, watch out Son!", a very familiar voice ring into my ears. It was Grandpa and excitedly I hugged him. "Where have you been Son? We all were so worried about you". He said in his concerned tone. "Grandpa, I just went to the cafe...", I tried to excuse myself when I realise that I had a date with Christina. Oh no, I handed my bag to Grandpa and ran for the cafeteria. But when I reached I didn't found anyone of them. This was all Veronica's fault. She just ruined my day totally.

I finally reached home and found my mother working in the kitchen. Usually, I always tell Mum about my first day of school but after today's incident, I was not in the mood of spoiling hers too. "I'm home!", I yelled. "Son, you didn't tell me. What happened? Why you suddenly ran like that?", Grandpa asks and with a tired look I lied, "Nothing, I just forgot something".
"Want to eat some pancakes?", Mum asks but I shook my head as my appetite of eating anything was totally gone. So many things happened today yet I can't tell which one was the worst. I went back to my room and found that the things were already set up, probably Mum has done it for me.
I lay down at my bed and began to remember the things which happen to me when I realize my Mum's presence. "I'm not hungry Mum!", I stated but she entered my room with the tray. "I told you, Mum". I was getting irritated but she then said, "What's wrong?". I felt bad for behaving like this but what else can I do? I'm totally pissed off right now.
"Did something happened at school?", she asked and soon my expressions changed into a terrifying look. I remain quiet.
She is always like this. She always understands my facial expressions so accurately that I was worried that she might find out about why I'm worried. Actually, I'm worried about many things. Things that happened today from the beginning.
As I was so deep in my own thoughts, I completely forgot about my mother's presence. She said, "It's alright if you don't want to tell me but remember one thing, Tris". She said with a serious look, "There's always a reason behind everything". And with that, he leaves. "And yes, before getting some rest get those", she smiled while pointing towards the tray.
Why did she suddenly say that? I was left confused.

Veronica's POV:
After I dropped that moron to the city road, I quickly made my way towards Jasper's home. This forest is the shortcut for the city road and Jasper's home. When I was in the last class, Jasper told me that his Grandma isn't well. She needs immediate treatment. Dad is out of the city because of work for almost three months and Mum won't allow me to stay outside at night.
I took the shortest path but then I realize that wasn't the path I was familiar with. I turned around and went through the other path but soon again I realized that I wasn't familiar with that area. It was strange that I got lost in here. Jasper says that I carry GPS in my head but today I don't know why I've lost. I didn't have my bicycle either as I escape from the school.
I don't know whether it was my imagination or my vision is giving me some illusion when I felt like the forest path just changed. I turned around and ran towards the other side of the forest but again I was puzzled. I decided to climb up the tallest tree near me so that I could see the sun to locate my location and strangely I found that I was absolutely standing over the right place.
I jumped down and then looked around the forest. It felt like it suddenly becomes denser. I pulled out the small knife which is one of the things I always carry with me whenever I travel. It is for my defence against the things which can be dangerous. This forest becomes more dangerous at night. Even though it does not have any wild beings but the paths can be confusing.
Jasper once lost in these woods and I had to track his mobile from the school computer lab and after that, we had detention together because that time too, we bunked school.
I mentally slapped myself for not taking my bike at first and then my mobile phone. My phone is with Mr Hemmar as I was in the detention room. I couldn't call Jasper for help, nor he could track me.
After I cut the small branches from the path, I realized that again I was moving in the wrong direction. I let out my frustration on a branch of a tree. I was almost lost for more than forty minutes. It was almost evening and I was hungry by now. The sun was going down by now when I finally lift myself up again. I need to get out of this. After cutting for almost more than fifteen minutes my arms hurt a lot but I didn't stop.
I cried loudly when I found that I came back into the same same. That's totally weird. That's impossible. I know this place. I travelled here for more than seven years. This can't-fool me. I know every corner of this place. Something is definitely not right. I pulled out a rough page and a pen and began to climb up the tree. I looked at the perfect clear path to the way of the city road and drew the map and finally came back down and began to walk.
As I began to walk I was surprised to see that the path I was standing in front of covers the tall trees the most, which was exactly the opposite of my drawn map.
