"Ouch", I almost cried in pain. As I rubbed the side of my head I looked at the way where I hit myself and soon I mentally curse myself for choosing such a bad seat. My expression grew into an irritated one but it grew wild when I realize that she hit me with her bottle. "What the hell?", she said with a sour face. Immediately I replied, "Yeah, what the hell?". I can't believe this girl. She hit me first and now she does not even apologize to me. She didn't responses to me but she again hit me with her damn bottle again.
I couldn't help but almost cry again, "What? Are you crazy? Why the hell did you hit me?", as I rubbed the side of my head. She hit me pretty hard this time. "Why does your head is coming on my side?", she said with her hands over her tiny waist. Is she a kid? My head is on her side? She is behaving like we are sharing some bed and I'm on her side of the bed.
"What do you mean?", I asked her but this time I almost covered my head in fear that she would hit me again when she lifted her bottle up to put it on the table in front of her. "I mean to say, stay in your limits or else I will again hit you", she said while rolling her sleeves over her wrist. What does she think of herself? Does she think that I did that for her?
Quickly I dismissed all the weird thoughts away when I remember that we are at the hall and I don't want to get embarrassed myself in front of Christina again.
"I thought you like to be in the front", suddenly she said pointing at the front row and I don't know why but I just felt embarrassed. Probably this could be because she called me a 'nerd' this morning. Soon I said confidently, "Why? Can't I sit over here?". She takes a sip from her bottle and then said, "I didn't say that but since you're a nerd I thought you always like to be the centre of the attraction". Her words really hit me hard and soon my anger starts boiling. How can she judge me like this? "See. I'm not a nerd", I said with a mocking expression.
I thought she would do something but she remains quiet for the next few moments. I wonder what's going inside her head but when I decided to give up she finally said, "Nerd!".
Unconsciously I looked at Chris and found her already laughing with some other guy. Veronica must have noticed that and quietly she said, "So you've got Christina. Not bad cuz she's the prettiest". By the time the guy texted something over his mobile and soon Chris's phone vibrated and she smiled at him. "They probably exchanged their phone numbers", Veronica said.
"I wonder. How long would it take for them to get together...", she couldn't speak when I suddenly hit the table with my fist as a sudden flash of jealousy hit me. I don't know how but I finally lose my temper and I barked at Veronica.
"Why can't you be just shut up? Why can't you just stay away from me?". By the time the whole hall's attention was on me. I didn't even realize that Chris must be watching me. Quickly I looked at her but she quickly turns around. Shit. She must have heard me and God knows what she's thinking of me? A rude guy probably.
I turned my attention back to Veronica. Before I could even realize that it was not the right time, I mumbled out, "Why are you so annoying?". To my own surprise, I was being completely strange to myself as I don't why but I mentally curse myself for embarrassing her. Maybe it was just because of my own reputation got ruined too. Even I just mumbled the last words, it was still audible to her.
She didn't look at me but she just slightly shifted her chair a bit away from me. "Okay students, kindly settle back quickly", suddenly Professor Greyson said through the mike. Quickly I sat on my place. Even though my mood was totally ruined, I couldn't help but I just looked at her. She was again turned a bit reddish but this time she didn't look scary at all.
Soon the Principal stood on the stage with the mike in his hand and soon he began. "Dear students. I'm feeling very honoured to say that our school has been selected as a host for the 'Future of the World' Carnival!". As the Principal sir says the whole hall filled with the cheers and laughter and joy. I looked at Veronica who was still wearing the same serious face.
