A/N: Hi everyone! This is gonna be my new fanfiction. Yes, I write this alone.
I wanted a Lilo, since there are not many Lilo fanfictions out here and I got the idea from a One Shot I read a while ago. In no way do I claim to know what it's like to be deaf, but I do know what it's like to have a disability so I wrote this with my experiences with my disability in mind.
This is my story, so please don't copy it. Though I don't own the boys of One Direction. I'll try to update as soon as possible!
Beautiful Louis Tomlinson on the side. It should be illegal to be so beautiful, I swear.
As for now, have fun reading the prologue!
E N J O Y, Marlou xoxo

We don't need words - Prologue
♥ Liam's POV ♥
Today was the first day at my new school. It was halfway the year, we just moved. I wasn't really looking forward to it: everyone would be in groups with their friends already and from former experiences, I knew it was hard to find your way into one of those groups. And I most definitely wasn't going to tell anyone I'm gay. That was the ultimate way to get bullied on my first day at school.
"Liam, get up! First day of school", Ruth, one of my two sisters, grinned from her place in the doorway. I grunted and squinted my eyes when she opened the curtains and the sun shone in my face. "Ruth", I groaned in my morning voice. "Liam", she mocked me. I sighed. "Breakfast is ready. Nicola will drive you to school in..." She checked her watch. "Thirty minutes. You better hurry." Ruth left and I climbed out of bed. I grabbed a plaid shirt and simple jeans and got dressed. I slipped on a pair of white Converse and ruffled my hair to make sure it was okay.
I wandered down the stairs with my bag in my hand. "Morning Li", Nicola said. She handed me a bowl with cereal. "Morning. Thanks Nic." I took the bowl and sat down at the kitchen table. When I finished my cereal, I hurried upstairs, brushed my teeth and rushed down again. "Just in time", Nicola said. We walked out the door, after saying bye to Ruth and got in the car. Nicola started the engine and drove off.
"Have fun today, Li. Don't be too serious", Nicola warned me. "Yeah, whatever", I mumbled. Nicola parked the car and I got out. "Bye Nic, see ya tonight!", I shouted. She waved in response and drove off. Okay, now I had to find the reception or something to get my timetable. Problem was, this school is pretty big. Hopefully there were notes with the direction on it. I walked through the main doors and was greeted by the sight of a big hall with lockers on both sides and the reception desk straight across the hall. Okay, that went well. I walked towards the desk and waited patiently for someone to come and help me.
After a minute or two, a friendly looking woman with grey hair in a neat bun appeared behind the desk. "Hello dear, what can I help you with?", she asked. "Erm, I'm new here and I need my timetable?" "What's your name, dear?" "Liam Payne", I told her. "I'll print out your timetable. I'll be back in a minute", the lady said. I nodded. She disappeared and I sat down in one of the chairs. "Here's your timetable dear. Have a good day!", the woman said as she appeared again and handed me my schedule. I looked at it and saw that I had English first period, in classroom 212. I had no idea where to go and while I was waiting for my schedule, the bell had rung.
A small group of four boys was still standing in the hall, waiting for the boy with the striped T-Shirt to grab his books from his locker. The boy with the quiff and the blonde one said they would go to their classroom and the curly haired boy nodded. Seems like I had to ask them, since the hall was empty now. I walked towards the two boys hesitantly. "Erm, excuse me? Do you know where room 212 is?", I asked the boy with the striped shirt. He didn't respond. "You new here?", Curly asked amused. "Eh, yeah. Why?" "Louis' deaf. Everyone here knows and they sometimes bully him", Curly told me. "I'm Harry, by the way. Harry Styles. Lou's my best friend."
