We arrive at the hospital and are all put in separate rooms.
I sit in my room alone and wait for something to happen.
A doctor walks in and starts talking. "Hello, I'm Dr Laurens. I heard you got... abused a tiny bit by... my boyfriend." My eyes widen.
"Dr Hamilton was your boyfriend?!" I yell.
"Shhhh. And yes. How did you know immediately that it was Dr Hamilton?" Dr Laurens asked, extremely confused. "I know there were were 3 doctors who got arrested."
"He was the only one who had abused me 'a tiny bit'." I explained.
"O-Oh." He paused. "Well we're going to have to do stitches on your chest and stomach. You could be put asleep for a little bit if you don't think you can take the pain, but if you think you can take it, then we'll keep you awake."
"I'll stay awake." I nodded.
"Alright." Dr Laurens smiled then left the room.
I sigh out of boredom and I wait for the doctors to come in here.
I just want all of this to be over.
••• (after stitches)
"May we x-ray your w-wings? It's just to see if your f-feathers will grow back or n-not." A different doctor, Dr Hansen, asks.
"Sure." I say in a monotone.
"O-o-o-okay." He stutters out. "...Y'know... My boyfriend, j-just around 2 weeks ago," His voice started to shake. "H-he-he... He d-died. Nobody knew why... U-untill... Untill now." Tears started streaming down his face. "The police t-told me they found evi-evidence of h-him in that room th-that you were in."
"Was his name by any chance, Connor Murphy?" I asked, remembering the note I saw.
"Y-yes. H-how did you know?" Dr Hansen stammered.
"I saw a note explaining what those doctors over at the other hospital did." I explained. "And the note said, down at the bottom, 'Connor Murphy, June 23, 2019."
"Oh my g-god." He took a shaky breath. "Anyways... Sorry we h-had to get all depressing and a-angsty... I have to go do my job now..."
"Okay." I sighed.
Dr Hansen wiped the tears off of his cheeks and left my room.
