CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO

Kate's POV:

After waking up early and packing my things I've decided to leave all of this life behind. I'll have to be happy with my child and myself.

I have only a month in college I'll just finish it and apply for a job.

"So your leaving huh?". I heard Michen asked from behind me.

"Yes I'm leaving". I spun around answering to Michen question.

"Good luck". He said noteven saying goodbye.

I walked down the stairs with my suitcases and waited on Emerald outside I didn't see any of the guys to say goodbye to them and it felt bad for me not to say it.

I looked up to see Lucio looking down at me from his office window. If once he'd say he didn't mean what he said, if only once he'd stop me from leaving but I guess its goodbye I have to forget all the memories that I've enjoyed with him I have to move on.

Tears fell down my face as I think about the time I spent with him. The door opened that's when I quickly wiped away my tears.

"You ready?".Emerald ask as she came out.

I nodded in agreement and waited for her to get the car. I could feel Lucio eyes were still on me as I got into the car while I put my luggage in the back of the car.

"Let's go Kate you have a long way to go". Emerald said as I looked back at the house I once thought was my home, I'll miss you guys so much.

Emerald started up the car and we were off to her mother's house.

On our way we were busy talking and laughing and stop at a supermarket to grab some snacks.

The car ride was very long so I took a nap.

"Kate wake up were hear". Emerald said shaking me.

I looked at the house that was in front of me and it was very nice. I stepped out of the car and we were greeted by two big body guards.

"The luggages are in the back you can get them if you don't mind". And they shook there heads walking towards the car.

Emerald and I just walked in without knocking or ringing the doorbell.

"Mom were here". Emerald said shouting through the house.

"Coming sweety just give me a minute". Soon Rose came running down the stairs, when she saw me her eyes lit up.

"Kate your here but you came here so soon and what's with the suitcases?". She asked with a smile on her face.

"Well Lucio did something real bad and as his sister I don't have a valid reason why he would say that". Emerald said to her mother while she motioning us to come sit in the living room with us.

I sat on a single chair facing Emerald and Rose who were sitting on a double chair.

"So tell me what happened exactly". And with that I explained how it started from the trip to Italy to the day I saw blood. I left out the part where I was pregnant.

"Mom there's something else". Emerald said looking at me to say it I was fidgeting with my fingers because I was nervous.

"Go on Kate tell her". I looked up at Emerald and she was smiling at me.

"What is that you wanna tell me Kate?". She looked at me with sad eyes saying.

"I'm pregnant". I murmured in a low tone and started sobbing is it gonna be like this all the time with me crying.

"Oh my God Kate". I was now engulfed in a hug. Rose pulled away and I saw tears in her eyes.

"Please don't cry Kate I'm just happy that I'm going to be a grandma I'm so happy". Rose twirled around smiling.

"Does he know?". Rose asked sitting down back.

"No he doesn't know I don't know how he will take it this kind of life he is in right now I don't think he's ready for a family of that sort". I sighed looking down at my flat stomach.

"I understand that Lucio is a dangerous man but I know he'll protect you and I know he'll accept the baby but sooner or letter he's going to find out Kate". I didn't wanted to keep my baby away from his father but that's the only way and I'm sorry.

"Are you going to tell him?" I asked looking at her with my puffy eyes.

"No love I won't tell him that's for you to tell him even though I'm his mother he needs to learn from his mistakes".

"Well can we eat now the baby's hungry". I said rubbing my tummy and they all chuckled.

Lucio's POV:

"Sir she's not at the apartment". One of my men said who I ordered to take back Kate here.

"What do you mean she's not at the apartment". I shouted at him.

"Sir Emerald mam didn't carry her there she went with her somewhere else". He stuttered saying.

"Get out!!". I screamed as I threw a glass on the wall.

Why didn't I stop her why didn't I let her stay now I'm fucking mess.

Michen came bursting through my office door with a frown on his face.

"Are you okay? I heard something break". He asked looking at the now broken glass.

"Yeah I'm okay I just-". I ran my hands over my face not knowing what to say, I was frustrated I was tired I hadn't slept last night she was gone and I let her leave.

"You just what huh Lucio this is your fault she left the only person that was healing you and you pushed her away if you'd just let her in she was the only person that brought light in this damn house". And with that he left slamming the door behind him shut it was true I pushed her away and she was healing me slowly I need to find her.

But first I need a drink. I walked out my office and walked down the stairs seeing the guys in the living room.

"Where's Kate we need to like watch a movie or cook together or something the place seems weird is she even here?" Steven asked looking at the guys and they failed to make eye contact with him it felt like as if she has passed away.

And it ached my heart to know we all miss her.

"Guys where's Kate?". Steven said smiling.

"She's gone Steven and it's all Lucio's fault" Michen said looking at me angry and Steven face fell.

"I can't believe you". Steven said shaking his head.

"Your life is going to go downhill and we won't be there to support you with your bullshit". Steven said walking out.

And they all looked in his direction and it was like there were fighting against me.

"Why did you let our little sister go we clearly talked about you not hurting her we see that you like her but why?". Jordan said tears forming in his eyes even though were in the mafia we cry we have feelings.

And the guys were looking quiet mad with me when Carlene left it wasn't like this I guess I do love her afterall.

Why didn't I stop her.
