Nico's POV

I seemed attentive during lesson, but really, nothing was being absorbed into my brain. All I could think off is my fairly messed up life and how I for no reason was angry at Percy just now. I hit my head mentally. He just wanted to talk and I acted as though it was a very big deal.

"Hey, Nico. You okay?" Hazel placed her hand on my shoulder. I shook my head and stared blankly at the ceiling fans. Hazel directed her attention back to the front of the room.

After my class ended, I bolted out of the classroom, to Hazel's surprise. I hoped Percy wouldn't come to find me because I'm not in the mood to talk or discuss anything. Of course, things didn't go my way...like always because Percy was already leaning against my locker door, waiting for me. His sea-green eyes lit up when he spotted me.

Reluctantly, I walked over to my locker to place my books inside. "So why are you here?" I asked, cracking the code to my locker.

"Since we didn't have time to talk just now, I decided to walk you home today and we can chat along the way. Please don't refuse, Nico, as best friends, we should spend more time together right?" Percy pleaded. I considered him for a moment before sighing in defeat.

"Fine, but only today." I closed the door of my locker shut and went off, Percy trailing behind me.

Everything was silent but Percy increased his walking speed so that he was next to me. "So uhm...just wanted to ask. Are you really in on the idea of helping me and Annabeth?" He broke the silence.

I stopped dead in my tracks. he seemed shock but halted too. "W-why do you ask?" I avoided his gaze and hurried forward.

"Look, I don't want to force you. I really don't so just tell me the truth." I saw a glint of sadness in his eyes as he said that.

"Psht! Of course I would help you!" I responded awkwardly, trying to lift his spirits up. He looked up at me and smiled happily.

"Really? Thank you so so so much Neeks! I love you!" He exclaimed and hugged me tightly. I froze, blushing at his sentence.

He let go of me and a tint of pink formed on his cheeks too. "Uhm...as a friend of course, sorry."

I cracked a small smile, indicating that everything was all cool when really, I was fanboying on the inside.

'Get a hang of yourself, di Angelo! He made it clear, he only loves you as a friend.' I chided myself.

OMG...ze Percico feels!!! I just cannot...The Blood of Olympus is giving me all sorts of feels...*messed up*
