Chapter 11

Nico's POV

I don't know if I should be happy or sad that Annabeth has rejected Percy. I'm leaning more towards the happy side but seeing Percy in the state that he is in, I'm just being mean. At least there was the movie Finding Nemo to cheer him up.

I was also glad to be there for him, knowing that might be the least I could do. I left his house in the late evening after having an early dinner there. His mum insisted I stayed. Not that I'm complaining. Her food is awesome!

I also promised Percy that we will go to school together the next day, just because I don't want him to break down upon seeing Annabeth again. Though I don't think we can avoid that much because she takes classes with him.

The Next Day ~

"Hey Neeks!" Percy jogged up to me and I smiled brightly.

"You ready to go to school?" I asked, still feeling a little weird treating him like this especially since he's older.

He nodded hesitantly and we both headed for school. As soon as we reached, we went to the lockers only to see Luke, one of the guys in class, kiss Annabeth before walking off. She smiled and waved at him. However, her smile faltered as soon as she saw me and Percy.

"Percy, look, I-" She started but Percy cut her off, pain in his voice.

"Save it for another time, Chase. I don't think now's the right time. Let's go, Nico." He said and stormed off. I gave Annabeth a nod to say I'll talk to him. She gave me a grateful nod and I followed after Percy.

"Hey, uhm..." My voice trailed off, unsure of how to continue my sentence.

"It's really okay, Nico. I guess Annabeth and I were really never meant for each other. So much for swooning over her, huh." He laughed, though I know that he was still hurting inside.

I decided to play along and cracked a small smile. "Okay then, let's go watch a movie after school. What do you think?"

His eyes lit up. "I'm totally in! But didn't we already watch Finding Nemo?"

"Sorry Percy but I guess it wasn't my...uhh...cup of tea?"

His cheeks turned a light shade of pink. "Sorry about that. You should have told me." He smacked my arm playfully.

"Nah...it's cool. So movie after school kay? See ya." I said and went into my classroom.

After what seemed like an eternity, school finally ended. Yea, I feel like that in school everyday. To my surprise, Percy was already leaning against the wall, waiting for me. He looked up and beamed.

"Finally! Let's go!" Percy slipped his hand into mine before pulling me to the bus stop. I tried pulling away but his grip was too strong.

Once we reached the movie theatre, Percy hopped up and down so cutely that almost made me want to kiss him right there and then, but nah...I don't do PDA and we are not even dating.

Looking through the movies, I wanted to settle for a good horror movie, but Percy immediately objected, saying horror movies were NOT his cup of tea. Oh, so we're playing this game now huh.

In the end, Percy gave up, not knowing which movie to watch and left the decision to me. Just as long as it's not scary. He dashed off to get the popcorn and coke while I bought the tickets. Smirking, I payed for the tickets.

Percy and I met at the entrance of the theatre and we walked inside with excited hearts. Just that Percy didn't know what was in store for him. I chose to watch (insert your fav horror movie here). Percy said to choose nothing scary and I didn't think it was scary so we're good to go!

We took our seats just as the movie began. As soon as the title came out on the screen, Percy stiffened.

"Uhm...Nico? W-why are we watching this? I thought I s-specifically said nothing s-scary..." He stammered.

"Well it's not frightening for me so..." My voice trailed off as I noticed the pout on his face and his gaze adverting to the exit. "Fine...I'm sorry..."

"Does that mean I get to use you for 'shelter' during the scary parts?" Percy stated jokingly and smirked at me.

My cheeks turned red and Percy ruffled my hair before turning to face the screen.

I should die now. Remember how I was so upset about people ditching Percico and going for Willico instead? Wait for it...I'M STARTING TO SHIP THEM TOO! I just cannot...I spoke too early then. After finishing The Blood Of Olympus, I feel like Nico has a higher chance with Will instead...UGH! Just kill me right now.
Anyway, I'm still going to complete this story so don't fret! :) Love ya'll!
