Chapter 14

Percy's POV

I seriously did not know what I was doing for a moment. All I remembered was seeing how cute Nico was and then leaning in before we kissed. Even I surprised myself. Eventually, he started kissing back and I was overjoyed.

Ever since Annabeth rejected my confession, Nico was by my side. Jason and Piper would come talk to me once in a while but Nico was always there for me.

I did not expect it, but I started falling for him during the next few months. I've always thought I was straight but I am officially gay for Nico. I went to Jason and Piper for love advice and they have been really helpful too.

Of course, then, Hazel just had to barge into the room and interrupt our moment, but I simply could not stay mad at her because she is just such a sweetheart.

She blushed and started fanning herself when Nico and I pulled away from the kiss. A few awkward silences later, she ran out of the room, slamming the door behind her. I chuckled and turned to face Nico, who was looking down at his fingers.

"I'm sure it's really obvious Neeks, I like you. A LOT." I confessed. "I know, I'm totally not perfect, but I'm confident that-" I was cut off by a kiss from Nico.

"So that's a yes to going out with me right?"

Nico rolled his eyes. "No, I totally don't want to go out with you." He replied sarcastically.

I laughed and hugged him tightly.

We continued talking and occassionally bursting into fits of laughter at our awkward moments. Around two hours have passed and I had to leave after I got a phone call from my mum.

"So I was thinking...we meet after school tomorrow, at Starbucks?" I asked, putting on my sneakers.

"Sure!" Nico exclaimed happily but then pouted.

"What happened?" I asked, concerned and cupped his face with my hands.

Nico shook his head in response. "I don't want you to go now, Percy."

"Don't worry Neeks. We'll see each other again tomorrow." I pecked his cheek and waved before heading back.

I must have been smiling like an idiot when I got home because mum asked me a lot of questions that at one point, I could not keep up with answering them.

"So you see mum...remember how I told you I was...gay? Well, I asked Nico out today and he agreed!"

My mum clapped her hand in glee, then squealed and went into total fangirl mode. "Oh my gosh really? C'mon, tell me EVERYTHING!" She said and looked at me expectantly.

I took a deep breath and explained to her what happened earlier after dinner at Nico's house. Cue mum's fangirling again.

After she has calmed down, we went back to our rooms and another bright smile made its way to my face as I looked through the selfies I took with Nico today.

WOOHOOOOO! 6 more chapters and this story will make it to chapter 20! That is like...a big accomplishment for me. LOL! I also want to apologise for the rather short chapter. That's all I've got...for today. XD
