My parents told me that I was not human. Being in a city of magic sounds fun. But to me, I have a secret to hide from my friends. At the end, I know I have to embrace who I am. I just hope I can control it.
Before I can continue my story, I need to introduce myself. My name is Jayden Ash. I'm known by many names. My parents call me phoenix (which is my middle name), Jay, or just plan Jayden. I'm like every other teenage girl: trying to find my place in the world. I have short, straight, black hair that flows from my head to almost my shoulders, dark skin, dark brown eyes, and I normally wear something dark.
Some people think I'm emo but I'm not. I'm trying to keep a secret. I sometimes have fire coming from my hands. And I have feathery wings whenever I'm alone and scared. In the ocean I also have a beautiful black tail. You would think I'm a mermaid. WRONG! I'm not a mermaid. I'm half siren. My mom is a legendary bird called a phoenix which makes me half phoenix.
I know what your thinking. How is that possible? You see, my mom has a physical form which makes her look like a mortal. So she could be able to become a "baby making machine" and have me. My dad is a siren. He has one of the most beautiful voices that I have ever heard. When my mom heard his voice she immediately fell in love.
There was a prophecy that my parents accomplished. It was said that a phoenix and a siren will have the most powerful hybrid there is. They call me The Black Phoenix.
I was also told that I had something to do with the 6 elemental goddess. 6 devine entities with elemental magic ruling over the world of magic.
Even though this scares me all I can say is bring it on.
