I go to Serenity School of the Arts. It's not your ordinary high school. It's a school that not only trains people in the arts but, also trains people who have magic like me.
Now that I have officially introduced myself time to begin the story.
It was another beautiful day at school. I was at my locker pulling my stuff for magic theory. I saw one of my friends. "Jayden, there you are," my friend said. "Ariana, you don't have to worry about me all of the time," I replied. "Sorry. There is going to be a lecture about the Phoenix today," Ariana said. The Phoenix, I thought. I knew I couldn't tell Ariana my secret. The fact that I am The Black Phoenix. Why would Mr. Stevens (my magic theory teacher) teach that. "Ok, cool. I can't wait," I lied. I finished getting my stuff and walked with Ariana to Magic Theory.
I walked into class knowing that this lecture was inevitable. "Good Morning Mr. Stevens," I said once I saw my teacher. "Good Morning Jayden, how are you," Mr. Stevens asked. "I'm doing well," I replied. I went to my seat. I usually sat next Ariana Kirkland and my BFF Belle Perez. The teacher then started the lecture as soon as the bell rang.
I got some useful information from the lecture but, I did get bored after a while. Once class was finished, Mr. Stevens told me to stay after class so he can talk to me. I was scared for my life trying to figure out why he pulled me aside. "Jayden, I know how you are feeling right now," Mr. Stevens said. "What do you mean," I asked. "Your powers," he replied. "You know," I asked. "I have mind reading powers so I kinda figured we have this talk," He said. "I'm scared of what I can do. I don't know how powerful I am. I just wish that I could control my powers," I said. "I know you are the black phoenix and I want to do anything in my power to help you," Mr. Stevens said. I noticed a flame appearing on my hand. I try to shake it off but, it landed on the carpet like a firefly and started a fire.
"Oh shoot," I said. Mr. Stevens and I ran out of the classroom. I saw the fire spread and quickly pulled the fire alarm. Once everyone was Outside saw the flame I accidentally created. It was dancing in to the sky like Lilly pads in the water. Mr. Stevens knew I did it but I didn't want to tell Ariana. I just hope she doesn't start questioning me about the fire I caused. I wasn't able to control my powers. "Jayden," said a voice. I turned around.
