it was paige's first week in briar cliff and she already hated it. she felt like she was stuck inside a never ending horror movie and she was the innocent victim that always ends up getting killed in the end.
she had made a few friends already; luke hemmings (insane), ashton irwin (depressed), ella edwards (pre anorexic) and daisy spiegelman (schizophrenic). oh, and michael clifford.
It was about 9pm on a saturday evening when paige first met calum. he was in a state of shock as he had just received electro treatment.
she was sitting in the dusty living room, a record player was blasting out old songs (old to paige). the rain was battering against the window and a boy was sitting in a corner at the other side of the room. paige debated about going over to him and talking to him and asking if he was okay and if she should go get sister jude, but decided against it.
paige being freaked out by the boy left in a hurry and headed down to the cafeteria where she joined luke and ella, 2 pieces of cremated toast later, paige had learned that the boy in the living room was none other than calum hood, the mystery boy.
"bed time in fifteen minutes everyone!" sister jude shouts to all the people sat in the cafeteria.
"so whats wrong with him?" paige asks, referring to calum.
"nobody knows, I don't even think cara knows to be honest." ella says, and right on cue, cara and calum walk into the cafeteria; cara with her hand on calums back as if she was guiding him ((he was still a bit unstable because of his shock treatment)).
cara has a disorder where she feels like shes always in danger, she's really paranoid. out of all the people staying in the asylum, she's probably one of the weirdest people you will ever meet.
"cara williams. she has a paranoid personality disorder and she's always like screaming for no reason. shes always in for shock treatment." ashton says to paige.
ashton was possibly even more attractive than luke (in paiges opinion) and she got quite upset knowing that he was depressed because a boy like him doesn't deserve to be unhappy. nobody does.
"im gonna go talk to him." paige says, standing up.
"why?" luke asks quickly.
"im just going to ask if he's okay." paige says rolling her eyes.
she makes her way over to the table that calum and cara are sat at and sits down.
"hi, im paige."
"im calum and don't even bother asking me what's up with me because im not telling you." calum says with no expression whatsoever.
