Chapter 9 (THEO's POV)

Today was the day that I finally told her everything.

Jake and I sat in the car and waited to see Jade sitting at the park bench waiting for us, next to her was most beautiful woman in the world.

We left the bored looking Riley in the back of the car as we approached our waiting mates. Nala looked up and her eyes glinted with what looked like happiness but quickly changed to wide-eyed fear. My back tingled when I noticed she was staring at me with those big beautiful blue eyes.

The wolf inside stood tall and begged her eyes to never leave mine. I nervously gave her a crooked smile and ran my hand through my hair, trying to keep them busy.

"Theo...." She breathed, thankfully, I had supernatural hearing otherwise I wouldn't have heard it. But now that I had, it took every cell in my body not to get too excited.

"You're going to have a great time with Theo, got it?" Jade asked my mate as she stood and nodded. "Good, because afterward we are having dinner at my house with Breanna. She's already cooking up a storm." She said trotting back to Jakes car leaving my stunned looing mate and I alone.

I felt so stupid, why didn't I just take her into my arm and treat her like a princess. 'She's absolutely beautiful.' My wolf howled.

"Why fight it?" she asked. "I mean I already have the marks. I want to know the truth." She said finally making full eye contact with me as her blue eyes called to me. "What's stopping you from making me yours and making me feel how you promise you wolf you would make me feel?" she whispered and I cocked an eyebrow. "I saw a lot yesterday when I 'read' you." She said making air quotations around read.

I almost touched her and lavished my love on her like a wild animal, but I couldn't. she would be overwhelmed if this went to quickly. "I'm not a wild animal. And besides I wouldn't want you to just have your turn with me and leave me, now would I?" I asked playfully wiggling my eyebrows. "But in all honesty, I am very curious as to you having lunch with me Nala." I said smiling.

As she open the door my jaw dropped.

She was wearing a nice fitted red dress that flared out and stopped at her knees. It had no back and a shallow V-neck that showed off her perfectly rounded chest without seeming extravagant. Nala's long tan legs ended in black heels and she was wearing blue and green earrings to bring out her eye colour. Right now, one was green and the other blue. When our eyes met, I noticed the difference to her usually blue eyes. This obviously didn't happen a lot but when it did, I could tell I would fall in love with every time. This time included.

"Your eyes?" I asked quietly and she fluttered her eyelids.

"Um, they change. Blue when I'm passive, green when I'm passionate and feel strong emotions." Nala explained avoiding my eyes. I put my finger under her chin and lifted her gaze to meet mine. "I love it." I said quietly. Her cheeks coloured and I smiled. "Come in Theo. I left my purse and phone in the bedroom, I was gonna have a coffee first anyway." She said stepping aside so I could come in. "I'll just grab my things." She said and left for what I assumed was her bedroom.

From the moment her scent faded as she left the room, I could smell the man, 'no, THING!' I thought, who claimed Nala for his own.

Then she came back.

"The male who marked who all those filthy times, he lives here? With you?" I asked, trying to keep my wolf inside my body.

I looked up at my beautiful mate as she nodded. "Callen and I have been dating for eight months and to be completely honest with you, I think he's cheating on me but somehow I think I love him."
