It was five-twenty-eight when we entered our room and all I wanted to do was hold my Luna in my arms but she was not having it. She entered the room and made a beeline for the bathroom.

"Nala?"

"What?"

"What's wrong pancake?" I asked standing in front of the closed door. I heard the tap turn on and off and I guessed she was washing her face. She opened the door and snuggled into my arms. I could feel my shirt getting wet so I pried her away. "Baby? Why are you crying?" I asked wiping her tears away but she shook her head and made for the bed. "Nala?" I said in a discouraging tone. I grabbed her arm and brought her body to mine again. "Baby, what's wrong?" I asked again, this time, silently begging for an answer.

She made eye contact with me and let it out.

"Who was that man? What did I ever do to him? I... I just wanted t... to help. He has chil... children. How can he sit there and say all of those things?" she asked in a desperate tone that broke my heart.

"Nala, I would like to have your Luna ceremony tomorrow. I know it's a bit soon but I really think that it's necessary." I said staring at the roof. When I met her blue eyes she was grinning. "Tomorrow as in a couple of hours or tomorrow as in the next day?" she asked, her smile getting wider. I couldn't help but smile back.

Seeing her smile was contagious. I couldn't help but love her, she was my everything.

"I love you, you know that?" I said hugging her and pressing my lips on her forehead. She nodded. "I want you to remark me." She whispered.

I was shocked. I laid her on the bed and cocked her head to the side. "I love you Luna... you are everything I need and everything I want. You are mine." I whispered.

"Are you ready?" I murmured and she nodded. "I, Nala Sharleen James, accept you, Theo Lee, as my Alpha mate."

I stared in amazement at the beauty of the art that laid in her skin once again. "Beautiful..." I murmured and she smiled, her cheeks colouring to my favourite shade of pink. "Now every woman will know your mine." She whispered as she pressed her lips against my mark. "I love you Nala, and I am so sorry for treating you how I did. I love you and it will never happen again." I said leaning my forehead against hers. "I love you too." She uttered before kissing me passionately.

I didn't believe that I deserved her. She was so perfect. "I'm gonna be a dad..." I said pulling away. She smiled and nodded aggressively. "Yeah, you are." I stood up quickly and stared at her. "You're gonna be a mum." I said and she nodded again. "Yes." I couldn't believe it. I sat beside her and laid her down.

I pulled her shirt up and revealed her tiny bump. "I was gone for so long Nala, what happened. What did I miss out on?" I asked, my lips pressed against her navel. I felt her shrug. "Well, the initial finding out." She whispered. I flinched at the thought of her being on her own to find out such news. I could feel tears prickling behind my eyes.

How could I just ditch her like that? I couldn't bear to do that ever again.

Could I?

"You missed out on the morning sickness... which really isn't so bad. I wouldn't have loved the fact that you would watch that." I looked up at her as she stared at the ceiling. I could see the emotions swimming in her eyes and I knew she was lying.

"Yes you would." I whispered and she looked down and met my intense gaze. "Yes you would. You would have loved to feel safe when I held your hair. You would have loved me to pat your back and comfort you. You would have loved me to tell you, I love you." I said, now propping myself on my elbow, hovering above her. "You would have wanted me to be there. Don't lie to me Pancake." I whispered. She reached up and ran a thumb underneath my eyes, catching tears that I didn't realise had fallen.

I leant down and pressed my lips against hers. "I am so sorry." I murmured holding her against my body.
