Summer

I entered Janet's office to find Kendra all over her. "How could you?" I cried out, tears streaming down my face.

"It's not what it looks like," Janet stammered.

"With her, of all people?" I said, my voice breaking. I turned and ran out of Janet's office, cursing Kendra under my breath. I hated her with a passion. As I made my way down the hall to the elevator, Niel called out, "Leaving, Miss Patterson?"

"Yes," I replied curtly. I took the elevator down to the first floor and walked out of the building, heading towards the bus stop.

"Summer!" a voice called. I turned to see Teven pulling up in his car.

"You have a car?" I asked, taken aback.

"Yeah," he nodded. "I saw you walking. Need a ride home?"

"No, but could you drop me off somewhere?" I asked.

"Sure, hop in," he said.

I got into his car and gave him the address. He pulled up to the gate of a house. "Thanks," I said, hopping out of the car.

A voice came from the speaker by the gate. "Who is it?"

"It's Summer," I replied. The gate opened, and I walked up to the front door. I rang the doorbell, and a familiar face opened it.

"I haven't seen you in a long time. What do you want, Summer?"

"I don't want anything," I said.

"You may come in," he responded, stepping aside.

I entered his house. "I've missed you," he said.

"Please, the only thing you miss is this dick," I retorted.

"Boy, please. I don't miss that thing. I wanted to know if you still have your stash of weed."

"Follow me," he said, leading me upstairs to his bedroom. He opened his closet and pressed a button, revealing a shelf full of mini jars filled with weed.

"Wow, you stocked up," I said, impressed.

"I had to, since the last time you visited," Jason said, grabbing his bong and some weed.

While he smoked, I rolled some weed up, and he lit it for me. "You haven't changed; you still look as good as ever," Jason commented.

"Thanks," I replied. "Are you still single?"

"No," he said.

"Who's the lucky girl or guy?" I asked.

"All I can say is it's a woman," he replied.

"I guess you don't miss this dick," I teased.

"She's my first girlfriend," I said.

"Did she do something wrong? I can hear the sarcasm in your voice."

"I caught her cheating," I admitted.

"And that's why you're here, to smoke and forget that shit. You need to talk to her."

"Fuck that talking shit. How would you feel if your girlfriend was all over another man?"

"And that's why I'm single," he lied.

A naked woman entered the room. "Heather, meet Summer," Jason introduced.

"Hi," I said, taken aback. "Who is she?"

"We're not dating. She's just here for sex," Jason explained.

"Another friend with benefits relationship?" I questioned.
