"At long last, love has arrived, and I thank God I'm alive. You're just too good to be true; can't take my eyes off of you."

~ The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill

(No POV)

Ailani adjusted her navy blue dress in the mirror and adjusted her curls. "Lani, can you help me please?" She smiled brightly and walked over to help Naomi. "It's finally here, you ready?" Lani asked as she placed the headpiece on her best friend's head. "I'm so nervous, but I'm more ready than I could ever be." She smiled at Lani through the mirror. "Good. I'm so happy for you. Goodbye Naomi Richardson." She grinned as Yomi's father walked up to retrieve his daughter.

Lani left her friend to stand in line behind Jalen and next to his best man Romeo. During the practice time before this moment, Romeo would always flirt with Lani despite her telling him about Kofi. "You look beautiful. Save me a dance at the reception." He whispered making her shake her head.

Jalen took his walk down the aisle and Lani slowly put her arm in Romeo's and placed a smile on her face. They all walked in sync and she spotted Kofi in the crowd winking at him. He winked back and she took her place in front of the large crowd who gathered because of their love.

Later at the reception, Kofi spotted his girlfriend across the dance floor. She was laughing and dancing with friends; enjoying her time with them. The DJ switched the pace and he made his way across the floor. As he walked closer, a smile graced across her face and she walked toward him. They immediately connected and started to slow dance to the songs playing.

Kofi was slowly falling in love with her warmth. He wrapped his arms around her snugly, tracing his finger down her lower back.

Lani was falling deeper with Kofi's warmth, with her arms over his shoulders and tracing the nape of his neck.

They found true comfortability within one another.

They looked each other in their eyes, and it told them everything they needed to know.

After the wedding, Kofi and Lani decided to take a small trip of their own. They booked the next flight to Jamaica for two days. They quickly packed their bags and took a cab to the airport.
