Maria walked into her apartment, as Adari stood by the doorway. Maria turned around and saw him standing there. "Why are you still outside?" Maria asked.

"I can't come in unless you invite me in. It's just one of the drawbacks of being a vampire." Adari responded

"Well, then come on in."

Adari walked into her apartment and looked around the room, he saw the laminate flooring, a couch against the wall, a tv on the opposing side of the room, a wooden cabinet on another wall and saw the hallway and also the kitchen, which was connected to the room. "This is a nice place you have." Adari complimented.

They both walked over and stood by the couch.

"Thank you." Maria replied

"You're welcome." Adari began "Maria can you answer me this? When you were standing in the doorway you froze up, do you know why?" he asked.

"I believe I was having another precognitive moment."

"Did you not hear me at all?"

"No."

Adari started to get a bit concerned "I guess you can't tell what's going on around you when your precognition is in motion. That's not good."

"Don't worry, what I saw is nothing you need to worry about." Maria began "Anyway, I've been wondering, what kind of abilities do vampires have that I don't know about?"

"What type of vampire are you talking about? Pure blood vampires, meaning vampires that were born vampires lie myself. Or lousy intermediates, meaning vampires that were formerly human, like your friend Rachel." Adari asked

"Is there a difference?" Maria questioned with a slightly confused look on her face.

"Yes, intermediates aren't as powerful and are much more vulnerable. For starters intermediates can't turn humans into vampires nor are they immune to sunlight. So for instance, if Rachel were to go out on a sunny day and stayed out long enough, she'd surely die. But if she were to completely cover her skin, she'd remain unaffected." Adari retorted, "Why do you ask?"

"Just curious." Maria responded with a nervous look on her face.

Adari then gazed at her with suspicion "What fledged your curiosity? I know it has nothing to do with you wanting to become a vampire yourself." Adari continued on with his suspicious look.

"I wouldn't mind it, it doesn't seem all that bad."

Adari grabbed Maria and pinned her down on the couch. He used his left hand to hold her hands down above her head as knelt over her. "Oh really?" Adari said then his fangs proceeded. "If you really don't mind it, you wouldn't mind if I had a bite either. I've been dying for a taste of your blood, I presume it's okay with you." He said as he ran the fingers of his right hand through her hair. Slowly he leaned in closer to her.

"Don't. You're right, I don't want to be a vampire." Maria stated in fear. "At least not right now. I just wanted to know more of what it's like to be a vampire. That's all."

Adari pulled back and got off of her and stood on the floor as she sat up straight. "Now was that hard? Maria for future reference, you shouldn't say stuff like that. I would potentially get you killed. Not that our enemy even cares if you want them to drink your blood or not."

Maria apologised "I'm sorry."

"It's alright. Now I really should be going. The sun is setting."

"Would be alright if I came with? I've been wanting to see Rachel, and she'd probably want to see me."

"I don't see why not."
