"Mr. Stark, I don't wanna go."

Those words had haunted Tony for the past few days. He was currently on the guardian's ship with Nebula, heading towards Earth. "We're almost there, brace yourself," Nebula said. Tony looked out and saw Earth. In a few minutes they landed in Wakanda. They were met by a group of warriors and the remaining Avengers. "Tony," Steve said. "I lost the kid," Tony said, ignoring Steve. Pepper emerged from the group of people. "Thank god you're alive!" She said, hugging Tony. "I lost the kid," Tony repeated, resting his head on Pepper's shoulder. A few weeks later everyone was sitting in the compound. Tony had bags under his eyes as he walked in the kitchen to refill his coffee. "Why do you get to sit around and mope? You didn't even lose anyone. Pepper and Rhodey are alive. What gives you the right to act sad?" Clint asked Tony, angrily. "Clint, let it go," Natasha said. "No, Clint's right," Steve said. "You wanna know who I lost?" Tony asked them, "I lost my kid." Tony walked over to the table to place his, now full, coffee cup on it. "FRI, play the put it on the fridge file." A holographic screen popped up in the middle of the table with an excited looking Peter on it. "Mr. Stark, today was awesome! So first, this nice lady gave me a churro after I stopped a mugger, and May saved up enough money to buy me and Ned the Lego millennium falcon, and we built that today, and I didn't even get hurt on patrol!" Peter's excited voice said. Then the screen changed. It showed Peter asleep in the lab with Tony working at a different table. Tony turned around to see Peter asleep and smiled. He slowly walked over to the young boy and moved him to the couch. As Tony walked back to where he was working, Peter said, "Goodnight, dad." Bye the time the video cut off, Tony had silent tears rolling down his face. Everyone on the team was silent with somber looks on their faces. "He crumbled to dust in my arms. He begged me to save him. For some reason, while he was fucking dying, his last words were, 'I'm sorry'," Tony said, through the tears. Tony left before he Could start bawling.               _                                                            }—[   :] (  ;       Time skip brought to you by a horrible mermaid

Everyone was reappearing around them, but Tony didn't care about anyone besides a small brown haired boy with doe eyes. He frantically looked around for Peter. "Dad?" Tony heard behind him. He quickly spun around to see Peter with a tear stained face. Tony quickly hugged the small boy. "It was so horrible. I could feel every atom in my body being ripped apart and it just kept happening until we reappeared here," Peter rambled, his voice slightly muffled from his head resting on Tony's shoulder. The other Avengers looked at the two embracing and smiled. Bruce, who had met Peter earlier, mumbled under his breath, "Not his son my ass."

Goodbye my sweet cinnamon rolls!
