"He's nothing like his father ."
"yes he is."

Reine Rosier was a French socialite, The Slytherin Queen, she was an enigma and a forced to be reckoned with. People learned this after she slapped Persephone párkinson after calling Lilly Evans a mud blood everyone knew where she stood on terms of her beliefs but no one dared to utter a word in front of her unless they wanted to end up like Severus with warts all over him for a week.
What people didn't know was why she transferred from beauxbottoms in the middle of third year. Why her parents felt the need to abandoned their youngest daughter in the Malfoy household and practically all but banish her from France . And She intended to keep it that way. She didn't have the most squeaky clean reputation but people learning of her disownment would only raise questions in her. Questions she didn't want to answer.
Reine didn't mind the Malfoys they were family after all Abaraxas was her mother's cousin and acted as a sort of father figure, her guess was out of pity. while Lucius and Cassiopeia paid her no mind. She felt awkward here and uncomfortable. Longing for the comfort of Euphemia and her waffles and wishing she was sitting between James and Sirius as they argued over quidditch.
She sighed and looked at her watch and took comfort in the fact that in an hour she would be on her way to hogwarts with regulus and her friends.
She left an empty seat between her and Lucius as they ate their breakfast. Reine lifted her coffee to her lips as Mateus made his way into the dinning room. Disheveled and obviously hungover with a pair of sunglasses over his eyes.
She was surprised when she learned he would be staying here until school started even more shocked when Lucius informed her he was his god brother.
Mateus spared her a glance as he took the empty seat between the two and smirked.
He didn't speak to her much and she didn't care enough to try and engage with him when he did. He was arrogant and prejudice the type of people she tended to avoid. She had other friends besides the marauders like the other family heirs. She didn't necessarily like them all the time but she knew a lost cause when she saw one, and she viewed Mateus as the biggest one of all."Are you lot ready for hogwarts?"
Abaraxas asked them before placing down his edition of the daily prophet.Lucius merrily grumbled on about it being his last year to win the house cup. Mateus seemed more interested in the hang over smoothie the house elves had brought him and gagged when he took a sip.
