➳ [I] Heuning Kai

I silently prayed as I heard the phone dial on the other end. Please, please pick up.

"Hi Noona! What's up?"
"Hey Beomgyu, I need to ask for a really big favour but you can't be any where near Kai, ok?"
"Don't worry he went to the skate park with Yeonjun. So what's this favour?"
"Well as you guys are debuting next week I figured that I should fly out to support you all—"
"More like just Kai haha."
"Oh shut up! Anyway, I want you to keep it a secret so I can surprise him. You can tell the other 3 & your manager just not Kai."
"Will do. See you soon Y/N."
"Bye and hwaiting!"

After hanging up, I went to start packing so I wouldn't be in a rush later. Kai is my younger brother who I care about a lot but since he left for Korea to achieve his dreams, we'd only spoken through FaceTime and calls whenever possible. So now that he was debuting I though it was a great opportunity to surprise him.

I laughed just thinking about his face when he sees me at their debut showcase.

- 1 week later -

'flight 203 to South Korea will now begin to boarder please walk to your gate, thank you.'

Well this was it. Time to go.

I really hated planes and having to fly a good 9 hours made everything that tiny bit more scarier. Luckily I managed to get some sleep even though I was way too excited to be reunited with my childhood best friend.

'ladies and gentlemen this is your captain speaking we are now heading for landing. Please fasten you seatbelts and from the whole crew & myself we hope you had a pleasant journey with us. Enjoy your stay in South Korea. Thank you once again.'

I woke up just in time to see us landing. And that's when I felt a small flip in my stomach. What if Kai wasn't happy to see me? What would I do then?

No. Y/N be positive the least that could happen is for him to not recognise you. Making my way through the airport I collected my luggage and headed for the exit. I was surprised to see someone waiting for me.

"Hello miss you must be Y/N?"
"Yes, yes I am."
"I'm TXT's personal driver who will take you to the hotel you are staying at and who will take you to the showcase later."
"Oh thank you so much."
"No problem."

He offered to carry my luggage but I denied his kindness cause he was already doing quite a lot for me. I didn't want to seem like a spoiled brat who needed everything done for her.

Once we were in the car, I told him the address to my hotel and for the rest of the car ride we sat in a comfortable silence. The streets were quite empty since it was still early in the morning and not many people were out yet. The sunrise in the horizon was mesmerising and it reminded me of the times me and Kai would just sit at the beach watching the sunset like it was the most casual thing to do.

I was so far from the present that it took me a second or two to notice that we had arrived at my destination.
"Thank you so much."
I quickly grabbed my luggage from the trunk before heading towards the entrance of the hotel. The whole place screamed the word royal. There were about three chandeliers hanging from the ceiling itself with velvet red chairs scattered around to create this rich; exquisite aura. 

After getting my room keys and searching endlessly, I managed to find my hotel suite and automatically collapsed on to the single but comfy bed sinking deeper and deeper as sleep took over my exhausted body.

- 5 hours later -

I woke up to the ringing of my phone which made me fall off the edge of the bed as I tried to reach over for it.
"Hi Noona!" I was pleasantly welcomed by someone screaming on the other end which made me feel a bit shook.
"Oh my gosh Beomgyu you really don't need to shout." My words were slightly slurred due to my sleepy state.
"Sorry but I wanted to just let you know that someone will be coming to pick you up in about an hour to come to the show."
"Ok cool see you soon then."
"See ya Noona."

I took a quick shower and got changed into an oversized hoodie, a pair of black skinny jeans; a puffy jacket since it was quite cold here in Seoul. I had put on a light layer of make up and my short, black hair was straightened to perfection. Before leaving, I grabbed my phone, wallet; 3 bags full of American snacks that I bought for the boys.

Just as I arrived at the lobby I was met by the same man from this morning.
"Hi Miss Y/N. Are you ready?"
"Yes and you don't have to call me Miss it makes me seem more important which I'm really not."
We both laughed at my statement.

The car ride was silent and wasn't too long as the location for the showcase was down the road. As we arrived I noticed that the street was packed with fans ready to enter and I felt my heart swell as I felt thankful for their support to my little brothers band.

To avoid creating any scenes, we walked through the back and I was seated towards the corner of the room with my face mask on. A lot of the fans already knew who I was and I felt it wasn't fair to take the spot light from the boys on their big day!

The show soon began and just hearing all the shouts and screams coming from the fans made me tear up. I was proud of all five them but of course I was especially proud of Kai. Watching him have the time of his life on the stage made me smile more than I could've imagined. I remember when he first told me and our parents of his dream and we were all worried that if life failed him that it would take a turn on him but here he was debuting with his 4 best friends under one of Korea's biggest entertainment labels.

I couldn't be any more happier for him. What a gentleman he'd become over the last couple of years.

As the show came to end and people started to leave, TXT's  manager came up to me handing me a single VIP backstage pass and followed him towards the boys dressing room. My hands felt clammy as we got nearer and nearer.

It's gonna be ok I reassured myself.

I waited outside whilst the manger informed them about something then on cue I walked in.
"NOONA!" I heard Kai scream as he rushed over to me and engulfed me in a bear crushing hug.
"Oh my gosh this can't actually be happening. I've missed you so much noona."
"I've missed you too Kai."

I took a step back to observe him.
"You haven't changed a bit other than growing much taller and becoming a a celebrity. Huh?" I laughed as I tried to hold the tears back that prickled corners of my eyes.
"Oh noona don't cry." He hugged me again.

"Step back I wanna hug Y/N too."
"Yeah stop hogging her for yourself."

We both laughed as I hugged the other boys and gave them my so-not-last minute present.
"I didn't know what else to get you guys so I got out some snacks since I've heard that that's all you lot seem to devo—"

I didn't get a chance to finish my sentence before my petite figure was attacked by four giants. Four hungry giants to be correct. I chuckled to myself as all their attention turned towards the delicious snacks.

What a bunch of dorks.
