Oh! Daisy

Arohi stared at the man sitting beside her, deeply engrossed in the ongoing debate on TV. Looking at him always makes her realize how beautiful life is. With him on her side she can face all the demons. He has no idea how much he inspires her daily! Absolutely no idea about how much he means to her!

He gave her a brief look and smiled softly before turning his attention back to heated argument on screen.

She can sit all day in same position admiring him without a blink. Without a second thought. Before any doubt could stop her, she leaned forward. Cupping his chin, she pressed a firm kiss on his cheek and whispered softly in his ears "I Love You"

Shocked! Stunned! At her declaration, he turned to face her. Arohi's dipped as he noticed the expressions on his face. His eyes totally selling him out. Her worst fears were about to come true.

Oh! the embarrassment, the hurt, the heartbreak–she has brought upon herself.

She stood up from couch following Arjun. She was totally not ready for what was coming.

She loves him. And he doesn't.

"I like spending time with you Arohi but love... uh-no"–" You are expecting too much out of this relation. Give me a break " He walked out.

"CAPTAIN"—She screamed out loud.

She found herself engulfed with darkness not metaphorically but for real.

Dream! It was just a dream.

She wiped her sweaty forehead heaving a sigh of relief. Resting her back on headboard she calmed her racing heart.

She has been trying to say him those three words for past couple of weeks now. But it is so hard to voice out your feelings.

Picking her mobile she looked at time. It was 3:35 am. Arjun was on West Indies tour for last 3 weeks. She contemplated for a second before calling him.

The call was answered at first ring surprising Arohi. She hadn't even made an excuse of calling him at this hour yet.

"Hey! Everything's alright? Why are you up so late? Are you fine? " He bombarded her with questions

She chuckled "I am fine, Captain"—" I just felt like calling you. I hope I am not disturbing you"

"Even if you are, you have full right. Don't you?" He spoke softly making her smile.

"Maybe. I don't know" She teased.

Arjun laughed "if not you then who will know"

"If you won't tell me things then how would I know? I mean I can't be 100% sure" She spoke thinking about her dream earlier. What if it turned out be true and she has read all signs from him wrong!

She could feel him smile at other end "Not everything meant is said, some things are as obvious as broad daylight"—" But still let me phrase it for you, Mrs. Arohi Singhania– it doesn't matter where I am, what I am doing, you can disturb me as you please except the time I am on field " He added with slight chuckle.

"Shit! I was planning to run in the middle of ground to give you a kiss"

"You are such a tease" He laughed at other end "now tell me why are you awake till so last?"

Arohi rolled on other side thinking what to tell him "I had a nightmare but now I'm fine"

"Tell your demons you have a very strong husband"

"Ok"–"You also tell your fangirls you have a very dangerous wife"

She comfortably tucked herself in blanket "I saw on TV how so many girls have gathered outside your hotel to meet you"
