Ryujin didn't go to school the next day, whatever day it was. She couldn't even muster the energy to get out of bed. She had spent all of the night before crying into her pillow silently.

She knew it was dumb, that she really shouldn't be crying over Yuna liking someone else, over Yuna liking her best friend. It was inevitable when she thought about it. The two were always close. It was bound to happen.

And what made it worse was that she dreamed of Yuna again. Dream Yuna was smiling brighter than ever before, and Ryujin wondered why. She wasn't dating her soulmate. Heck, she doesn't even know who her soulmate is! Why is she so smiley? Because she's happy with the wrong person?

Yuna was happy with the wrong person, while Ryujin was upset with the right person.

Ryujin wiped her eyes for the nth time that day as she heard a loud banging sound a few feet away. When she looked over, she saw Yeji storm in with Jisu not far behind.

"Not this again!" Yeji exclaimed, causing Ryujin to wince because her head hurt.

The oldest girl had a pillow in her hand again, and rose it to hit Ryujin when Jisu held her arms firmly.

"No, Yeji, look..."

The two stared at Ryujin, the latter realizing how pitiful she looked. Her face was pink, eyes red and swollen and wet, nose pink with snot running from it, hair disheveled, and many tissues surrounding her from when she lost the energy to throw them away properly. Ryujin sniffled before wiping her nose with the back of her hand.

Yeji dropped the pillow and sat on the edge of her friend's bed. "Ryujin-ah, what's wrong?" She reached forward and brushed some hair from her face.

Ryujin opened her mouth to assure them that she was (not) fine, but then a weird noise came from her mouth and she started to cry again. Yeji pulled her to her chest almost immediately, rocking the younger side to side. Jisu picked up the tissues around them and threw them away before climbing over to Ryujin's other side and hugging her back tightly. Just feeling the warmth of her friends and knowing how worried they were made her cry even more. She had such caring friends and she was crying over a girl who didn't notice her the way she wanted to be noticed.

After Yeji wiped away her tears for her, Ryujin began to explain. Everything. From the first dream of Yuna on, including all her hopes, wishes, and feelings. The two listened and didn't say a thing, although their facial expressions spoke for them.

"Oh my god," Jisu said once Ryujin was finished.

"Why didn't you tell anybody?" Yeji asked, sounding between mad and upset.

Ryujin shook her head. "I-I don't know. I thought it would be inappropriate to say anything about it. And it might would've scared Yuna off—"

"No, why didn't you tell us? We're your best friends. We could've helped or something!"

Ryujin shrugged. "For many reasons. Too much stress. I don't know. I just couldn't tell anybody. Not even my parents."

"We could've helped set you and Yuna up, you know?"

Ryujin chuckled humorlessly. "And you think that would've worked? She likes Chaeryeong, she's liked Chaeryeong since the very beginning. And Chaeryeong likes her back."

Yeji and Jisu exchanged looks. "You...you knew?" Jisu questioned.

Ryujin nodded as she wiped a stray tear. "Yeah. Yuna asked me to help her confess to Chaeryeong yesterday."

Yeji chewed on her bottom lip as she looked to Jisu for help. The two had a silent conversation as Ryujin made herself comfortable, lying down in her bed properly.

"But it's okay," Ryujin said. "I'll get over it and hope for the best."

"But she's your soulmate! She...she can't just—" Yeji started.

"Well, she doesn't know that, now does she?" Ryujin borderline snapped. She sighed before pulling the blanket over her head. "You guys can go now, I'll be okay."

There was a moment of silence before Ryujin felt her friends move around. She heard Jisu say "take care of yourself for us, please" before the sound of the door shutting. Ryujin curled into a ball and fell into a deep sleep, exhausted from crying.
