''Sorry, I'm late.''

Cassie's house was no longer Halloween decorated and I found my way to the kitchen easier without all the fake skulls and rag dolls.

''That's okay.'' Cassie stepped in front of me and took place behind the kitchen island immediately as I arrived.

''Jake?''

''Why are you late?'' Adam and Diana asked at the same time and I was forced to tear my eyes away from the blonde boy even if I seriously wondered what he was doing here.

''Uh, you guys are not going to believe it but I found something in my mailbox.''

''Something?'' Diana and Cassie asked in unison, much like Adam and herself earlier.

''Uh, yeah. Was an old paper or something. Said it was from Calvin Wilson?''

Cassie strode over to a table, picked something on it and brought me an old dusty paper that resembled my own just slightly.
''Like this?''

My eyes roamed around the piece, inspecting it whole and the entire circle went around us too.

''No, the writings aren't the same and mine was smaller. Where did you get this?''

''It was dropped off by Calvin, just like yours.''

Jake ripped the paper from Cassie's hands, examined it in his own and turned to look at me.
''What was yours like?''

''Hm, dusty too, but like not that dusty.''
He frowned and knew I wasn't making any sense so I explained further, shrugging my jacket off on the way.
''I couldn't read half of it. Some ancient language but the bit in English said some weird things about witchcraft and the beginning of a family. Adam and Eve and that's it.''

''Didn't you bring it?''

''No, my mom would have flipped.'' I explained and put the jacket on a stool by the counter.

''You told your mom?''

''No! I just got it in the mail last night and she caught a glimpse. She seemed pretty shaken but didn't ask anything further.''

''So,'' Adam started, ''two members of the circle receive each a creepy old yellowy paper. Should we be concerned?''

''I think we should.'' Diana answered and I strode over to Faye as I took back my jacket and put my it on the island instead.

''Where's Melissa?'' I asked quietly as the brunette just crossed her arms and looked at the argument unfolding before us with a little too much excitement.

''Her mom got her out of town. With Nick's death and all.''
I could get that.

''Ivy?''
I hummed and turned back to Diana, glad to get my thoughts off of Nick.
''Do you think this could have to do with what happened last night?''
