Beast choice

Finding him

I was walking for hours when I felt one of Naraku's reincarnations. I walk towards it and feel the presence of one Demon Lord. I walk towards them when I got there I see Sesshomaru and a being that what a humanoid beast that almost looked like the old fashion werewolf. I pulled my bow off my back and attacked the arrow hit he roared and well because I behind Sesshomaru the orb hits him and a black glow surrounds him.

"Sesshomaru!" Both Shippo and I yell. I sent a second arrow at him and it plunged deep into the heart of the beast.

"Momma." Shippo said. "Look." The black light that was around him turned red then became insanely bright. I closed my eyes and when the light fades I look back to see Sesshomaru fall to the ground.

"Sesshomaru!" I exclaimed as I ran over to him with help from Shippo we had him on his back there were no signs of injuries but he had a high fever.

"Shippo honey can you go find us a cave?" I asked him

"Yes, Momma!" He says with a nod and scurries off to find a cave.

"Now then." I said sitting my bag down and pulling out the medical kit, a washcloth, and a water bottle. I can tell his body temperature is too high, even for a demon, just by touch so the thermometer stays in its place I pull out some of the herds I have stashed in here. I dampen the cloth and place it on his for head and sigh there are many things about Naraku and those damn puppets of his that are unknown what could this reincarnation have done to him. As I mashed a few herbs into a past Shippo came back.

"Momma I found one!" He said. I set the bowl down remove the cloth and put the medical kit, the water bottle and the rag back in my bag and shoulder it.

"Shippo can you carry the bowl please."

"Sure thing." he said and we somehow managed to get the unconscious lord to the cave and to lay him on on the extra blankets I had brought. I covered him with another one and put the rag back on his forehead.

"Honey if you want you can go play outside but stay close."

"Yes, mama." He said as he ran outside to play I worked on my herds till they where a liquid and then I force feed it to the unconscious demon lord. I smiled and dampened the rag. His eyes slowly opened and they were red like in his beast form. He growled menacingly at me and I raised an eyebrow and flicked him in the noise. "I'm trying to help you don't growl at me!" I said his eyes widened with shock when they slid shut as he fell back into unconscious I sigh and get up and move to that cave opening Shippo was chasing a butterfly and me nosiest there was a pile of brush next to the cave opening and I grab some of it. "Shippo honey can you please go find some firewood so we can have lunch?" I called to him.

"Sure mama." He said as I took the brush inside I dug out a small pit and paid the brush down and got my flint and lit a fire with it Shippo came running in a few moments later with the firewood. We eat and I then turned back to the demon lord and checked on his fever it was going down but still not right. I wiped down his face and neck then rinsed out the rag and placed it back on his forehead he opened his eyes again and growled angrily again I flick him in the noise. "I don't understand you when you growl Sesshomaru so please stop it." He looked at me again the shock evident on the demon's normally expressionless face. He looked at me funny then smiled and fell back into a deep sleep. Wait Sesshomaru smiled! I blinked and shook my head the thing must have done a number on him. I was lost in my thoughts when night came Sesshomaru sat up this time while Shippo was sitting in my lap as he and I talked.

"Lay back down." I said looking at him his eyes narrowed at Shippo and growled deadly at him he jumped and went behind me. I get up and storm over to him and slap him as hard as I can. "We saved your ass. So don't be growling at my son I get it that they think humans are disgusting weak and worthless but listen here you do not expect me to be kind to those who threaten my family I could have easily left your ass to die from this fever now lay down and do not growl at my son!" He held his face where I had slapped him as the shock very clear on his face my guess is no one has ever done that before. He looked at me then to Shippo then back to me with a confused look and barked at me. Literary barked at me. I blink. "Sesshomaru can you not speak?" I asked him

"He shook his head and I sighed grate and I have no notebooks for him to right on.

"Mama." Shippo said

"What honey?

"He asked how is that possible." He said.

"You can understand him?" I asked Shippo.

"A little bit his primal language is slightly different then mine I could be confusing some of it but I think that's what he said."

"Well if that's what you want to know so here's the story. Three years ago when Inuyasha and I started this damn adventurer to find the jewel shards and kill Naraku we found Shippo he tried to take the shards we had to get power to avenge his father's death which Inuyasha and I helped him to do. After that I took him in I get he is a demon and I am human but that doesn't matter to me." I looked at him and he looked back at me then laid back down I nod and check on the soup. I sat back Shippo and Sesshomaru started snarling at each other which I took as them talking. I worked on the soup and then stood up

"Mama what's wrong?" Shippo asked.

"Stay here don't leave the cave both of you!" I said picking up my bow and arrows. I walked out of the cave. I placed a barrier so no one could get in. I walked to the middle of the clearing and waited.

"Who are you?" I asked as a demon walked into the clearing. "And what do you want?"

"Where is he?" He asked.

"Who?" I asked.

"The lord of the west."

"Why do you want him?" I asked.

"To kill him!" He roared. I leveled my bow at him.

"Leave now!" I said charging the arrow.

"Never!" I let it fly it went through his neck and killed him. I turned around to find Sesshomaru standing at the other side of the barrier and glaring at me.

"Don't glare at me you are sick lay back down now!" I said pointing at the blankets.

"He says it was not right if you to kill him when he wanted to challenge him."

"Your sick I will not let anyone endanger my kit or my patient! You ill have to understand until..." I stopped as he fell forward. "Shit!" I said and caught him. "He's heavy!" I said getting him back onto his bed.
