Keep your will burning strong in those eyes kid. Fine, stay with me and I'll give you the power you seek.

Those are the exact words Edger spoke to me and a whole load of bull crap he said! Now it made sense why Ms. Shelly always yelled at him because he was a complete idiot. It's been three years now and he hadn't made any progress to put me in the Crescent Lunar Division. Sure I acquired experience being in the Black Wing Division, but I knew I wouldn't get get the chances I need if I stayed with them. Only by being in the Lunar Division would I get the shot to face the Clan of Apep. During my training under Edger he explained that the clan used to be human in the beginning but were affected not by the virus but rather a curse.

The Reapers stated Ra the Egyptian god of the sun and radiance had supposedly created the Book of the Dead. But Ra didn't appear to be the only God. He also had siblings, one being his brother, Apep, the deification of darkness and chaos. Apep always had a rivalry with Ra which turned into an enteral battle between the two. As a result Ra remained victories by sealing Apep in a different dimension. Further down the myth, Apep's work didn't cease, before being sealed he managed to place a curse on the human population for revenge against Ra for his love of humans by placing what we called the "Apep gene."

The gene itself appeared within random human begins, turning a human into an Apep and causing them to fall under the influence of his hatred and memories stored within their blood against Ra's greatest love...humanity. The clan don't resemble anything like the Revenants. Most of them bore unique resemblance to their leader Apep by having reptilian features. But those are what the Reapers classified as "Commoners" because there were those who surpassed them such as the original ten. They took a more human appearance but had unique traits such as having snow-white hair and piercing red eyes...The one who killed my family!

Hearing him explain it all at the time made me want to fight those bastards even more, but without Edger's approval to switch to Lunar I couldn't get the access to leave the walls and search for those monsters myself. It was always frustrating to try and reach Edger or even contact him. Because of him I ended up sitting in a high school classroom listening to a boring teacher explain about basic algebra.

"I'm glad 3rd period is over. Math is not my best subject..."

"Yeah! But we still got one more class before the day ends."

"Let's get some lunch!"

I can't believe these students, it's sad to think they're the same age as me and can act this ignorant.

3rd period had ended and most of the students headed towards the cafeteria for lunch, but my mind sunk in deep thought as I looked at these kids. Even though the Center Region had Ado Edem and HQ it didn't mean we had a perfect defense. After all I had to learn this the hard way after the Gilgamesh incident.

"Ummm! Aren't you going to the cafeteria with the others?"

I didn't even realize but somebody was trying to grab my attention as I sat at my desk thinking. Of course my fear was realized when I got to know who had called me out. It was the same girl who threatened me to suspend my stay at high school if I didn't go to class in the first place.

"You need to hurry, if you want to walk with the others," she said pointing at the door.

"Can you stop trying to act like that? You don't understand me so you shouldn't have any reason to talk to me."

I spoke to her in a serious tone. I wasn't feeling being chummy with her after her threat. She stared at me for a few minutes and then out of nowhere she gave me the creepiest smile.
