[Sam's PoV]

"Excuse me, but do we know each other?"
This sentence is running around in my thoughts the whole time I was sitting in the middle of the waiting room. Silent tears rolled down my rosy cheeks.

"Hey man.", Corey said while he was walking into my direction. He sat down next to me and rubbed my back slowly. "What just happend..?", he asked, looking on the floor. "I don't know.", I said. I was whispering because I knew that my voice was too unsteady to speak loud and clear enough. He just nodded.

"Is there anything, we can do for you?", a nurse came up to us and asked. She probably saw me crying. "Well-", Corey looked down to me, still rubbing my back. He slowly stood up to the nurse and moved on. "We are friends of Colby- Cole Brock. Um- is it like normal that he.. uhm can't remember some things?".

"Oh sorry I don't know about that patient but I can get you the nurse who was there when he woke up.", Corey nodded and the nurse walked down the corridor quickly. After two minutes she came back with another nurse by her side. She had long, blonde hair and brown eyes. "You asked for informations about the patient Cole Robert Brock?", she asked and blinked twice. "Yeah", Corey answered for me.

"What do you want to know then?", she asked. "Well- Is it normal for him to not remember some things?", "Yes, that's normal. As you know he got shot in the head and that means that it's normal that he can't remember things from the past. That always happens to people who were in a koma.", she said. "But- is he going to like remember it sometime again?", Corey asked. "He probably will remember but..", "but what?", Corey interrupted her. "His head was messed up. It can be possible that some things will never come back but.. hope is dying last.", she said and gave us a smile. I tried to return it but it was only a strange little smirk, that danced on my lips.

"Any more questions?", she asked after a while of silence. I shook my head and she just nodded, turned around and left again. Corey and me still looked down on the floor. I slowly sat down on the comfortable chairs in the waiting room again and so did Corey. I was still crying and couldn't say a word. There was like a big stone which disturbed my voice to get out of my mouth.

I felt so many emotions in this moment. I was happy that Colby survived but he can't remember me. It's like a big, deep, black hole in my heart, which is getting bigger and bigger with every tear that is rolling down my face.

We knew each other for so many years already and now.. It's like we are complete strangers.
