Henry's Perspective

"Riss, who is that?" I asked.

Marissa put down her drink and squinted her eyes. "I'm not sure. I've never seen her before."

"Perhaps a princess?" I suggested, not taking my eyes off her.

My best friend shook her head beside me. "I don't recognize her and she'd at least have a guard with her. Maybe a daughter of a powerful mogul or illegitimate child? I hear rumors King Winston had a secret love child." She suggested.

I continued to stare at her, her eyes daring for me to do something. She was having a conversation with someone else when her lips curled to a small smile slightly.

"Earth to Henry," Marissa teased, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Hmm," I turned.

She let out a light laugh. "Come on," she put her drink down, "why don't you go over there and talk to her?"

I rolled my eyes. "One step ahead of you," Marissa defensively put her hands up and shot me a wink.

Leaving her and entering the crowd, I began to make me way to the girl in the elegant red dress. Breaking through the jumble of the party and eventually at the stairwell, I was surprised to see the girl wasn't here. Looking over my shoulders to make sure no one was looking, I went up the stairs, hoping she was there. I looked to my left and right and only found two doors with two guards standing on each side of the doorway. I let out a breath of disappointment, turning around to head back downstairs when my heart sank.

"Looking for me?" The girl in the red dress asked, her eyebrow raising.

A few seconds passed when I realized that I was still staring at her. She looked like she had just come out of a perfume commercial. Except her perfume and aura was one that could make every man fall down on his knees.

Realizing that I hadn't answered her yet, I clear my throat. "Matter of fact, I was."

She pauses for a bit, probably due to how blunt and honest I was. Simon claims that I got that from my father.

"You're quite honest," she comments.

"On the topic on honesty," I slowly walk down the stairs, towards her, "why don't you be honest with me?" Her eyes shift for a second, intrigued. "What's your name?"

She bites her lip down. "I'm Prince Henry of Estherfold. You probably never heard of me or my country unless you looked up the top ten best vacation spots in the world."

She chuckles, her laugh as serene as a hidden waterfall. "Monica Van Dijk."

Beautiful name for a beautiful woman. "I'm afraid that the last name doesn't ring any bells, Miss Van Dijk."
