Taehyun lifted his head from his arms, wiping his eyes as he sobbed softly. His mother sighed for the umpteenth time, rubbing his back gently. Taehyun sighed, wiping his eyes one more time. "I… I didn't think he would cheat. He was just so… perfect."

"They're all like that," his mother sighed. "They lure you in with sweet lies, and then… poof. Gone."

Taehyun sighed, using the tissues his mother had brought him to wipe his nose. "He was just so perfect. He picked me up from class, he called me the prettiest boy, he… Mom, I let him do the most amazing things to me."

His mother gaped immediately. "Did you two—?!"

"Oh God, no, Mom," Taehyun said quickly, breaking from his sadness. "I'd never have sex with anyone, let alone Beomgyu, no matter how hard he'll try to convince me. But the point is — he was everything. He was everything I wanted in a guy. And then… this happens."

Taehyun's mother pulled him up by his shoulders, putting a gentle kiss on his forehead. "It's okay, baby, it'll pass. All of this will pass. You'll be fine, my angel."

Taehyun sighed. "I hope it'll pass. Because I really… really like him."

"You're the biggest dickhead on this planet."

"You would know about dickheads, wouldn't you?"

"Why bring Tzuyu into this?! I never had sex with her!" Beomgyu yelled angrily.

"It was for your own good. You never listen," his father spoke in a particularly soft tone.

"My own g— what do you know what's good for me?" Beomgyu demanded lowly. "You don't give two shits about me. Everything is Soobin this, Soobin that. Everything is about God damn Soobin. Why? Because he's fucking perfect. He does everything right for you. Homophobia doesn't apply to people that still make their parents proud, huh? When you're a fucking failure, you just give more reason to disappoint as a gay guy, huh?"

Mr Choi sighed through his nose. "That boy will just be a further distraction. Let him go and focus on more important things."

"Taehyun is important! He's the most important thing in my life!" Beomgyu yelled. "He's the only thing that I care about in this shitty world you created for me. And he made life better for me. I had something to look forward to everyday when I knew I'd be seeing him."

"I told you not to speak to that boy," Mr Choi snapped. "He's a distraction."

"Better being distracted than being around a father that doesn't care about me," Beomgyu muttered, walking out of the house quickly, slamming the door behind him. He sighed once he was out of his father's view and broke down in tears immediately. He leaned against the side of the door, covering his face with one hand and sobbing softly. "Fuck, I need Taehyun…"

He took out his phone, trying to call his boyfriend, but the boy didn't answer — for quite obvious reasons. Beomgyu sighed, deciding to contact the one person he definitely didn't want to contact — his brother, Choi Soobin.

"Mom, there's someone at the door."

Taehyun's mother walked to the door, opening the door and mustering up a big smile. "Hello there!"

"Hello, ma'am. Is Taehyun here?"

"Yes, of course," she smiled. Taehyun widened his eyes, sitting up from the couch in a hurried manner. His mother looked at him, frowning when she saw him shake his head vigorously. "Uhm, what's your name, young man?"

"Choi Beomgyu, miss."

She hummed, folding her arms. "So you're the boy that made my son cry. You're the one that cheated."

Beomgyu widened his eyes. "I need to talk to him about this, please, miss. I need to explain everything. There's been a huge misunderstanding, and—"

"You shut your mouth," she said quickly, pointing a finger at Beomgyu. "Taehyun deserves so much more than you. He's such a lovely boy. Granted, his taste in men is quite bad, but he has never had anyone cheat on him."

"I didn't cheat," Beomgyu spoke desperately. "I… I need to talk to him. Please. I need to fix this."

"I can't let you see him. I can't have you waltzing into his life again — not right now," Mrs Kang said. "He's my son, and I won't let toxic people like you into his life."

Beomgyu sighed, looking down. "I just…" One tear dropped from his eye to the ground and he sniffled. "I love him. I don't want to let him go."

Her expression softened immediately at those words. Watching Taehyun lower himself swayed her a bit and she sighed. "He… he's in the living room. Five minutes, then you're out of here."

Beomgyu nodded, a soft smile on his lips. "Th-thank you."

"Stop crying, you crybaby," she chuckled. "Take your shoes off."

Beomgyu took his shoes off and walked further into the home. He spotted the brunette boy he loved so much and stopped. "Hey."

"Don't talk to me," Taehyun spat immediately. "I don't want to see your face."

"Taehyun. Let me talk."

Taehyun turned his body stubbornly. "No."

"Fine, I'll explain anyways," Beomgyu said with a sigh. "Before you and I dated, I was introduced to Tzuyu by my father. I saw her as a friend, but she saw me as a boyfriend. We dated for a while, but I wasn't feeling it, so we broke up. My dad rung her up yesterday, knowing full well that Tzuyu still liked me, and told her I was dating you. She decided to try and end things between us in hopes to get back with me. We never had sex, and I wouldn't ever catch myself in bed with a girl. Besides — you're the one I love. As cheesy and dumb as it us. I love you, Taehyun. So much. And… no, it won't be fine if you want to break up. I love you way too much."

Taehyun was silent for a moment. "Why didn't you tell me about her?"

"Not to make this situation worse for myself, but if I had tell you about all my exes, we'll be here all day," Beomgyu spoke bitterly. "I've always liked you. And we were so obvious with one another. I never intended to play with your feelings. I genuinely like you and I never wanted you to get hurt. Please — forgive me."

Taehyun sat up from the couch, turning to face Beomgyu. He sniffed and wiped his eyes before breaking down in tears. "You're the worst person on this planet…!"

Beomgyu walked over to him, sitting beside him and hugging him tightly. "Never doubt that I love you again, baby. I love you, okay? I don't let my baby get hurt by anyone, let alone Tzuyu." He pulled away and gently kissed his forehead. "It's okay, baby."

Taehyun sighed, pulling away and wiping his eyes again. "You're the worst."

Beomgyu smiled softly. "How are you still so pretty after you just cried?"

"Stop, I'm not pretty," Taehyun giggled. "You're terrible. But… as terrible a person as you are, never change. I fell in love with you as you are, even if you have a bit of an identity crisis. Just stay as amazing Beomgyu when you're around me."

Beomgyu kissed Taehyun's nose gently. "I'll never let you go, pretty baby."
