Side Chapter 2: Saimatsu - The Surprise Date

Shuichi's POV

It was my second date with Kaede and we decided to go out bowling, I wasn't the best when it came to bowling. But the goal was to have a good time and make sure Kaede enjoys herself, the thought of Kaede smiling made me blush. I pulled out my phone and texted her asking if she was ready, I sat in my car in front of her house waiting for her to come out. When she came out I couldn't help but stare, she looked so beautiful. She looked at me and smiled, she got into the front passenger seat and strapped in her seat belt. "This is going to be so fun! I'm glad you asked me out on this date Shuichi!" She said to me in a cheerful voice. I myself was surprised that I was going on another date with Kaede and so soon too, this probably wouldn't be happening if it wasn't for Kaito, Rantaro and Kokichi. All I remember is Kaito coming up to me telling me I have a date to the bowling alley with Kaede on Saturday, and that Kokichi forged a fake love letter and gave it to Rantaro to slip it into Kaede's locker.

Now I was here next to Kaede driving us to the bowling alley, I noticed she was staring out the window smiling. "Kaede, I just wanted you to know.. I'm really happy I get to go on another date with you." I said with a small smile on my face. "Yeah, I feel the same Shuichi. I enjoyed our last date." I looked at her for a quick second and smiled, as we got closer to the bowling alley my phone buzzed a couple of times. I pulled into the parking lot and let Kaede out of the car, I checked my phone to see who'd text me and it was the boys group chat.

Kaito: Shuichi hows the date going?

Kokichi: He's not even here yet idiot

Keebo: Kokichi! Why did you say anything?! He probably knows we're here now!

Kaito: No he doesn't, does he?

Rantaro: He does now

Kokichi: This is totally the stupid robots fault!

Keebo: How is it my fault?

Katio: You're the one who told him we're at the bowling alley!

Keebo: Now he knows we're spying on them!

Rantaro: Mission failed, We'll get 'em next time.

Kokichi: Geez you guys are stupid..

I sighed deeply as I read the conversation, so I guess my friends are stalking me and Kaede on our date.. I had Kaede waiting for me so I quickly got out of the car and walked into the bowling alley with her. As soon as we entered I scanned the room to see if I could find them and the first person.. Erm.. Robot I saw was Keebo, who stood out like a sore thumb. I shook my head and went to the front counter to pay for a lane to bowl at with Kaede, And just my luck our lane was two lanes away from where Keebo was. I was hoping Kaede wouldn't notice him, We put on bowling shoes and went to go get a bowling ball that we'd prefer and put our names into the touchpad. I had to go first, I grabbed my bowling ball and rolled it down the lane. I watched as the ball started going to the left, I thought it'd be a gutter but I was actually able to hit four pins. I went again and hit another four pins this time, giving me a total score of eight. "Wow Shuichi! You knocked down eight pins! You're pretty good at this!" Kaede said cheerfully, "Really? You think so?" "Yeah! Ok, now It's my turn." She grabbed her bowling ball and rolled it hard. She hit nine pins but missed when she went again, "Aw man, I was so close to getting a spare too."

"You're good at this too Kaede!" "Thanks, Shuichi. After a few more turns you want to go..um?" before she could finish her sentence a short dictator came over to us with a huge grin plastered on his face. "Wooooow Kaede, Your sooo good at bowling!" Kokichi turned away from Kaede and faced me. "W-what are you doing here?" Kaede looked confused. "Why am I here? I work here silly!" "Wait, really?!" I knew he was lying but Kaede didn't, "Of course not! What do I look like working at a bowling alley." "So why are you here then?" Kaede asked crossing her arms.
