Chapter 6

3rd POV

Rantaro and Shuichi walked down to math together, on the way there Rantaro couldn't help but wonder who would have wrote that letter. As they got closer to the room they ran into Maki, "Oh hey Maki." Shuichi said, "Hey Maki." Rantaro said. Maki stared at them before greeting them both back. "So how's Himiko doing? Did you find out what was wrong with her?" She asked Rantaro. Rantaro shook his head, "I'm supposed to go check on her during lunch, but one of the upperclassmen, Mikan, is taking care of her." "Mikan?" Maki questioned. "Yeah, she's apart of the Health Committee." "I see.. Well then, I'll go check up on her with you."

"I'll tag along too." Shuichi said. Maki looked at him and gave him a small smile, "Come on, we'll be late for class." She said turning around and walking ahead, they both looked at each other and followed behind her. When they got into the classroom the teacher instructed them to sit down.

Time skip~

Kaito, Shuichi and Kaede were in line to get their food, everyone else had already gotten their food and was sitting at the table. When they got their food they headed to the table to sit down, "Sorry guys, I told Mikan I'd stop by the nurse office to check up on Himiko. I'll see you after school." Rantaro got up grabbing his food. "Shuichi, Maki, you two still coming with me?" "Oh um yes." Shuichi said getting up, Maki nodded getting up as well throwing away her trash. "Hey I wanna tag along too!" Kokichi said in a cherry voice. Maki quickly glared at him, "And why do you want to come?" She asked him.

"I want to make sure Himi is ok to! She's my friend too y'know!" He said whining. "Since when and you and Himiko become friends? And why are you calling her that? Just cut it out and stop with your ridiculous lies, you just want to come so you can bug her." "Oh you got me! Yeah I just wanted to mess around with Himiko and draw marker all over that ugly face of hers! But that's a lie! I actually am worried about her too, so we gotta hurry up and go check on her! What if she's dying as we speak?!." Maki didn't believe him for a second.

"Who cares?! Let's just not worry about that donkey-lipped bitch and just eat! She's with what's her face anyways right? So i'm sure titless is fine!" Miu said. "Shut up you sow!" "Heeeeee!" Rantaro looked at Kokichi and sighed, "If you're coming then hurry up." As he said that he started walking, Maki and Shuichi soon following after him.

When they made it to the nurses office Rantaro knocked on the door waiting for Mikan to answer it. "I-it's opened!" Rantaro slowly opened the door to find Nagito sitting on a stool being stitched up by Mikan. "O-oh! You must be here to c-check up on Himiko, she's fine for now. I-I gave her some medicine to take for her fever, but I believe she has the f-flu. So she needs to drink l-lots of water and get plenty of r-r-rest." "The flu?" Rantaro said to himself.

"Sh-she 's over there." Mikan pointed towards a curtain that had a bed behind it. They walked over to the bed and saw Himiko laying there half awoke. "So, How are you feeling Himiko?" Rantaro asked her. "Nyeh.. I feel a little bit better.. Way better than earlier.. But.. My stomach still hurts and I still have a headache.." Shuichi placed a hand on her shoulder, "I'm glad you're ok, you had us worried when we saw you just laying on the ground in your Ultimate lab. I'm sure you already knew you were sick right? Why didn't you tell us you were sick? You could've told Ms. Fukui, i'm sure she'd understand."

Himiko was hesitant to speak, "N-nyeh.. I.. I didn't want to be taken care of by Tenko.." They looked at her then at each other with confused looks until Rantaro spoke up. "What do you mean by that?" "Tenko is always worrying about me, put my needs before hers.. We both were sick and she.. She knew that.. But still Tenko hasn't taken a break at trying to aid me. So I decided it'd be better if I went to school. Tenko knows how sick she is so she wouldn't walk to school, so she had no other choice but to stay home and get some rest."
