Chapter 5

Kaede's POV

I was getting ready to go to school, after I got washed and dressed I headed down stairs to get something to eat. When I walked into the kitchen I could see my mom was making breakfast with a huge smile on her face, I walked to her and gave her a morning greeting. "You look well today mom you're smiling a lot, did something happen this morning?"

"Oh, I got a call from your sister this morning Kaede! She said she wants to come and stay here with us for a few months! Aren't you excited?" I looked at her and smiled, in all honesty I don't dislike my sister I actually look up to her but she has always been jealous of me for some unknown reason.

My sister and I are twins, not identical twins but the similarities are almost identical. My sister is older than me by eleven minutes, which of course makes me the younger twin. My sister's name is Kasumi, and just like me she's also an Ultimate. We both had got picked to join Hope's Peak together but she declined the offer and decided to go to a different school.

As I was sitting down at the table eating my food Shuichi texted my phone telling me he was a couple minutes away. I finished up my food and washed my dishes, I heard a knock at the door and went to go answer it. When I opened the door I saw Shuichi and hugged him, "Good morning Shuichi." He hugged me back, "Good morning Kaede, are you ready to go?" he asked me.

"I just have to grab my bag." As I said that I turned to see my mother holding it for me, "Good morning young man." She said to Shuichi. "U-uh good morning Mrs. Akamatsu." He gave her a meekly smile. "Now there's no need for you to be nervous of me son, here's your bag Kaede. You two should get going, don't want you two to be late." She said handing me my bag.

Shuichi and I left the house and got into his car, Shuichi pulled off and drove us to school. On our way there I told Shuichi about my sister and told him she'd be staying over for a while, Shuichi was surprised to find out I had a twin sister but sounded happy and excited and wanted to meet her. When we pulled up to the school I was a little nervous to step out, All I could think about was my sister. I guess Shuichi could tell because he placed his hand down on mines and looked at me. "It'll be fine, i'm sure once she gets here she'll be happy to see you again."

I just hoped he was right.. We got out of the car and entered the building together, I didn't realize we were holding hands until Rantaro and Maki turned and saw us. They were getting things out of their lockers and saw us holding hands, they looked at each other first and then back at us. "So I'm guessing your date went really well?" Rantaro asked with his laid back voice.

"Yeah, the date was great! I enjoyed it." I said smiling at the two, Maki smiled at me while closing her locker. "I'm happy for you two, in my opinion I think you two make a pretty great couple." "Same here, I can tell how much you make Kaede happy Shuichi. Don't screw it up with her ok?" Rantaro said patting Shuichi's shoulder, Shuichi nodded at him and looked at me.

We all walked to class together, when we walked in we saw a few people already here. Me and Shuichi took our seats and waited for Ms. Fukui to come in and start her morning announcement. When she walked in the rest of the students came in behind her and took their seats.

She greeted us with a good morning and begin her morning announcements, as she was speaking Kaito tapped Shuichi's shoulder causing him to turn around. "I saw you two walking in holding hands, so the date was a success?" He asked him eager to know. Shuichi smiled at him and put a thumbs ups, not trying to talk while the teacher was talking.

When Ms. Fukui finished the announcements she took roll, When she got to Tenko it was silence until, "Nyeh.. T-Tenko said.. she didn't feel too well.. t-this morning, so she stayed home.." Himiko said. "Oh, I hope Ms. Chabashira gets well soon then.." Ms. Fukui said before continuing roll.
