Alexis POV

I woke up at 8 AM this morning. Today was the day. My dad's funeral. I don't really know how ima feel when he gets buried 6 feet under today. He wouldn't want me to be upset like this fasure. I have to be strong for him today. I jumped out of bed and grabbed my phone and speaker. I looked in the mirror at myself and said "be strong. make him proud. don't let him down. he's not here physically but in spirit". I turned the shower on and took my clothes off. Tory Lanez came on. I started to think about Kentrell. I missed him but I needed to focus on me right now.

I hopped out and went to my bedroom. I lotioned up and put deodorant on. I had a white button up and some white jeans with some white ones. We didn't want to wear black because we want to celebrate for my dad today, not continue to mope around. I flat ironed my hair and put on a necklace that my dad gave me when I was younger.

"Ra, you ready?" Dee asked.

"Yeah" I replied.

I walked downstairs and seen my mother sitting on the couch.

"What is she doing here?" I asked, irritated.

"Alexis, she's coming to the funeral. Be nice please" Aunt Melonee said.

"Ra, just chill out" Dee whispered to me.

I walked right past her and into the car without saying anything.

Funeral Home

I sat in the front row. Just to be able to see my dad more clearly. They opened his casket for viewing before the funeral began. I walked up to him. He looked so pale. I touched his hand while tears formed in my eyes.
