"Alexis, wake up. Wake up. Kentrell is in the hospital". I rushed to the hospital in the car beside Bee and Joe. We asked which room he was in, "Room 453, down the hall". I ran down the hall to the room. He was laying there, bloody bandage on his forehead, he looked so helpless. "Kentrell, what happened?" I was crying at this point. "Talk to me, please". He opened his eyes and turned to me. "I love you, I'm sorry" he said. "No what the fuck! Wym you're sorry?" The monitor started beeping. "KENTRELL WAKE UP!"
I woke up. Breathing fast. Panting. "What the fuck was that?" I asked myself.
"Bro, what's the issue? What you breathing so hard fa?" Bee asked me, rubbing her eyes.
"I just had a dream about Kentrell. He was in the hospital and he died. I don't know what that was about" I said.
"See, your conscience is tryna tell you to get yo man back" she started laughing.
"Whatever" I said, rolling my eyes.
I got up and went to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror. Splashed some water on my face. Now all of a sudden he's popping up in my dreams? Naw. Maybe I'm just trippin'. I hopped in the shower, brushed my teeth, washed my face and got out. I dried off. Put on my lotion and deodorant. Since I didn't expect to have plans today, I just threw on some grey sweats and a black tee with my Nike slides. Bee was still sleep.
I went downstairs and made me a bowl of cereal. I sat down at the kitchen table and started scrolling on IG. Kentrell popped up on my timeline. "Ugh. Why?" I whined.
