As Y/N and Nao approached the area where the tennis club was set up, a seething platinum-haired male marched right up to them. The amount of displeasure on his face could even rival Y/N's day of surprises.
"Where have you been, Nao?" The boy coldly asked. He looked tired —as if he had to babysit a whole lot of kids. Dark eyebags rested under his baby blue eyes. "I need help with the flyers since the anger-maniac ran off somewhere and the prude-brainiac didn't even show up."
"I had to get the tennis ball," Nao replied meekly, not daring to defy the platinum-haired boy. He quivered under the icy gaze bestowed on him. "-But um! I saw them near the entrance. . ."
Right on cue, the two missing males appeared. Y/N could see Izumi dragging Kyo by his ear whilst he wailed. The moment the duo realized the presence of the icy-eyed male, they froze and nervously looked up.
". . .Hey Ren," Izumi anxiously grinned, which earned him a glare from the boy. Izumi let go of Kyo's ear and dusted the imaginary particles on his pants. "I wasn't going to bail or anything. I was eventually going to help over here."
Fujihara Ren was the devil himself. Although, his gates of hell were not filled with intense flames, but instead freezing snow. He was hard to get, but his icy attitude left girls fantasizing.
"Both of you have twenty sprints for not showing up on time," Ren stated without any remorse, "and they all have to be under thirty seconds."
Y/N cringed at the thought of twenty sprints. And it had to be under thirty seconds! Even she couldn't manage to do that. She sympathized for the two grumbling boys in front of her, but it wasn't her business to pry in.
"Let's go hand out flyers over there, Y/N." Nao said, itching to leave the other three boys' presences who now pointed their gaze towards the girl.
Nao didn't like how the others were staring at her. It didn't faze the H/C haired girl, but he was the complete opposite. However, before he could make a quick escape with Y/N, a pale hand stopped him.
"Nao, I need someone staying here to make sure these two are working," He pointed at the two males, who were busy fighting. Nao was about to protest, but Ren harshly cutted him off. He motioned at Y/N, "I'll go with her."
Nao couldn't do anything but slump and walk over to a large table that had a few lingering students lined up. On the other hand, the cold male placed a stack of flyers onto Y/N's hands.
Picking up another stack for himself, he led the H/C haired girl to a bustling area of the gym. As they passed by countless booths, students couldn't help but take at least a glance.
Unknown to Y/N, Ren was actually the best male tennis player at the school. He was like the E/C eyed girl, a young prodigy. Although, at the end, he could've gone to nationals, but he didn't.
The sight of two powerhouse athletes together was a rare sight. In addition, Ren's cold and indifferent personality contrasted drastically against Y/N's fiery but kind one.
It was really a sight to behold! A recreation of the yin and yang in live form.
As Y/N handed out flyers, a comfortable atmosphere settled between her and Ren despite the room being audibly loud. However, that was until a rather lean male approached her.
The boys at this school are giants, Y/N helplessly thought, scanning the male before her. The average height for this school must be off the roof.
"You're Y/N, right?" He probed whilst grinning casually. He stuck his hand out, in which the girl shook. "I've heard a lot of stuff about you."
Y/N nodded affirmatively, and smiled in return. She looked up at him, "Yeah, I'm Y/N. Who are you?"
