Y/N didn't know how it happened, but somehow, she was wedged between Ren and Kyo with Ayato sitting across from her.

It also didn't help that the atmosphere surrounding the six people was exceedingly tense as they ate their meals quietly.

"So Y/N. . ." Ayato asked uncomfortably as four males ceaselessly glared at him. He rubbed the back of his neck nervously, "I was wondering if you wanted wanted to go to the boy's volleyball game this Friday?"

The H/C haired girl looked up from her food. Her E/C eyes meeting Ayato's baby blue ones.

"Well, I would love to go," Y/N hesitantly smiled at the ginger, twirling the plastic straw from her F/F shake, "—But the tickets to the game are probably sold out by now?"

The ginger quick reassured her, flashing her a toothy smile.

"Don't worry Y/N! I already reserved a ticket for you!"

"Really?" The female asked rhetorically whilst a dazzling smile graced her face once more.

She affirmatively said to herself, "Then I better go then!"

Soon after, utensils clattered all around Y/N as the four tennis boys protested against the idea.

"Y/N, you cant go! We have a game against Higashi that day!" A certain midnight haired male exclaimed next to her.

Only after the males voiced their concerns, Y/N looked at each of them in the eye. "You guys do know that our game starts at three?"

Lately, they've been acting weird, The female sighed as she mentally rubbed her temples. I can't even talk to someone without them breathing down my neck!

She deadpanned, "The volleyball game starts at six."

Whilst the four males thought of ways to prevent the female from going, Ayato was smiling to himself gingerly. His plan was set.

If he could covet just a little bit of Y/N time, then the H/C haired girl would be alone with him without her tennis friends— which would give him enough time to ask her to hangout.

Although it had only been a month, Ayato developed a keen interest on the Y/N girl. Not only was she attractive, but what drew Ayato close was her hard-working and compassionate personality.

He couldn't miss this chance to woo the girl!

The red-haired boy continued to daydream, unaware that he was being watched by Y/N's so-called tennis friends.

Izumi felt his lip twitch as he discreetly observed Ayato's behavior. It was no brainer that the male had also taken an interest in Y/N; However, it was not as devoted like his.

Who does this guy think he is? The blonde male gritted his teeth, stabbing the pasta that Y/N bought for him. He doesn't even know Y/N! He isn't committed to her like I am.

It wasn't only Izumi who felt this way. Similar thoughts surged into the minds of the other boys.

I won't give him the chance to get close to Y/N! Nao thought earnestly, eating his donut diligently. He doesn't deserve someone as nice as Y/N!

Patience! Kyo berated himself mentally, fakely smiling at the H/C girl who glanced at him momentarily. It won't be long until I can get rid of this pest!

As if Y/N would ever go for this volleyball freak, Ren rolled his eyes as he picked at the crust of his sandwich. This guy doesn't even have a chance nor will he ever get one.

The group of teens kept to their own thoughts until Ayato had to leave. He stood up but not before giving a cheeky grin at the H/C haired female.

"See you on Friday, Y/N!" He said as he ran up to catch up with his teammates at the front of the café.

With the disappearance of the red-headed male, the table broke into a rowdy chorus.

"Y/N, are you really going to go?" Nao asked grudgingly, giving her a puppy dog look. His lower lip slightly trembled.

"Yeah, just skip going to that lousy game and just hang out with us instead," Kyo said as he twirled the fork in his hands. "Ren is treating us to a hot-pot after we beat Higashi High."

"That sounds nice guys and I would love to go," she sighed, "But like I said earlier— I don't go back on my word."

Unable to accept defeat, Izumi was about to protest as well, but was cut off by a sharp glare from Ren. He stabbed a fork into his sandwich. The metal sticking through the sandwich wrap and denting the wooden table.

"If Y/N said she has to go, then let her go."

He rolled his eyes at their childish behavior and pulled the fork out from the sandwich. Then, he turned to look at the H/C haired girl. "You're free to go, but you owe each of us a favor."

Y/N felt her lips curl into an irritated frown, I mean- these favors can't be that bad.

She shrugged, "Sure, whatever you say."

"Great. It's good we can come to an understanding." Ren said nonchalantly, digging his left heel into Kyo's left foot.

As a result, the silver-eyed male had to choke back his complains and bite his lip harshly to prevent a string of curses from coming out of his mouth.

He scowled at Ren, What the fuck!

Shut up, Ren scowled back, I'll explain later.

As soon as Y/N left the café, courtesy of her brother telling her to come home, Kyo let out a variety of curses. His sailor's mouth was creative enough that Izumi had to shove Nao's half-eaten donut down his throat.

"Thank you," the platinum-haired male sighed, "Like I was saying— this is all part of the plan so Y/N is indebted to us."

"How does this work in our favor?" Nao questioned intrigued. He rambled on in hesitance. "Why should we let Y/N go to that game? What if Ayato makes a move? What will happen if Y/N leaves me. . ."

He timidly looked up to see his three teammates looking at him in annoyance. He correct himself, "I meant– us! What happens if she left us."

"That won't happen because I have these." Izumi took out four tickets to a certain volleyball game on Friday. He passed it out to the other males.

"How'd you get these?" Kyo asked, finally swallowing down the donut that was rudely shoved down his throat.

"Jiayi gave these to Ren and me at the beginning of practice today," Izumi recalled as a dark-haired extrovert popped up in his thoughts. "She said something about getting the girl's team to go with her but then they had a last minute schedule change."

"Like Ren said— it works out for all of us."

"We can watch out for that annoying volleyball brat and get favors from Y/N at the same time."

Kyo suspiciously looked back and forth at Ren and Izumi. It was obvious the two were colluding all this time. "How do you know Y/N is still going to do favors for us?"

Izumi simply smiled.

"Well, not to be a broken record, but—
Y/N never goes back on her word."
