Chapter 6 part 1

Sangs POV

"Sang please come out with us." Karen begged on the other end of the phone. 

I let out a sigh. "Karen I don't feel like this is a good idea. I'm not really in a karaoke  mood." I tell her. I was still in sweatpants and a tank top sans bra. Ever since the team meeting I've been trying my best to be friendly but seeing Sean is breaking my heart. I just get so sad every time I see him. 

"Come on Sang it'll be fun maybe you can meet a cute guy there and forget about those guys." 

"It's not that easy. I have to work with Sean."

"Girl this will just make you stronger and there's no shame in having a little fun with ex's."

"I - I don't think Sean and I are there yet. Everything is too fresh."

"Come on, you can't tell me you guys haven't done anything since the breakup."

"We haven't!" I exclaim. Not really going to mention who I had fooled around with after the breakup. I twist a loose thread between my fingers hoping she doesn't ask about the other boys. But she goes right back to begging. Karen has always been a supporter of my unorthodox relationship with my... the boys and she was there for me when things ended. She came right over and helped me start packing and just listened to me, trying to understand the best she could. 

"Sang please I think it would make you feel better." I sigh inwardly. 

"I guess we can go. But only for a couple hours, there's a meeting at work in the morning."

"Yay! Start getting ready and I'll be there in a half hour." And then the line went dead. I sigh stretching and sitting up.  

After getting dressed and applying some makeup I was finally ready. I lock my apartment behind me and drop my keys into my bag before slinging it over my shoulder.  

"Where are you going little bird?" I turn to look at Raven coming down the hall towards me. 

"Going to hang out with a friend." I say. 

"What kind of friend?" He asks following me back towards the elevator. 

"She's a girl I meet in high school, so I've known her for years."

"A girlfriend?" He asks grinning now. 

"No, I don't swing that way." I say giggling. We were in the elevator now and he's fully turned to look at me, leaning against the wall. 

"What are you two doing?" 

Why was he being so weird? "Going to a karaoke bar."

"I will come." He says matter of fact. 

"Do you like singing?" I ask. He didn't really seem the type to be at Karaoke at all. He was large, muscular and covered in tattoos. He wasn't my usual type but I had to admit he was very attractive. 

"I sing like shit. I like hearing others sing, mostly foolish singers maybe some drunk ones." he shrugs and I giggle at his straight forwardness. He grins at me and steps closer coming basically nose to nose with me. "I like that sound." He says. The elevators suddenly open and instinctively take a step back wards but he just follows along with me basically pressing me against side wall of the elevator. I look into his dark eyes gaping up at him. 

"Sang?" I turn and see Karen in the lobby of the Sargant Jasper and she stares at us, eyes wide. 

"Oh hi Karen." I say trying to smile and hoping I'm not blushing too much. Raven just grabs me around the waist and pulls me with him out of the elevator. 

"This is your friend?" He asks me. 

"Yeah, Raven this is Karen." I say trying not to squirm a little. Raven was new to me I wasn't familiar with him or his team, especially their touch. 

"Nice to meet you." Karen says a little confused. 

"I hear you are going to Karaoke. My boy and I will join you." Raven says. His boy? Who was that?

"Ooooh okay, yes defiantly the more the merrier." Karen says grinning form ear to ear. I was so confused now. 

"I will call him." He says letting me go and walking away to make the call. 

I turn to Karen and she stares back at me with wide eyes. "Sang who the heck?" 

"I work with him." I say quickly, which wasn't entirely a lie, I was apart of his team for the time being. 

"He seems to like you, or has a boyfriend. Honestly I am so confused." She says laughing a little at the weirdness. 

"Same." I say looking after Raven who was a little farther away talking on the phone but looking at me grinning.
