Seans POV
Holy shit, she can sing! I never imagined such a powerful and strong singing voice from such a small women. She hit her notes perfectly and I am in total awe. I think we all were in shock because we just stared in silence mouth agape. After her song ended there was only a moment of silence before a loud applause thundered back at her. A soft blush crossed her cheeks and she smiled at the crowd shyly and the stage went dark once again. I could see her figure move behind the curtains and soon after another performer was in her place singing.
"Sang you did so good!" I could hear Karen tell Sang in a low voice. "Thank you, I can never thank you enough." I hear Sang say filled with happiness. "Of course Sweetie! Anything for you. You are shaking again, come over here and sit down." I watch as she walks Sang over to our table and pulls out the chair in-between Raven and I. Sang sits and looks round the table at the four of us and blushes.
"Sang you did amazing!" Marc tells her with a wide grin.
"An Angel voice if I ever heard one." Corey says.
"So good little Siren!" Raven says pulling her into a hug almost pulling her off of her chair. She blushes deeper and giggles. "Thanks."
"I didn't know you could sing." I say, still in shock.
"I've been taking lessons with Karen for about a year now." She tells me.
"A year?! How did I not know?" I ask flabbergasted.
"It was a surprise for Gabriel." She says letting out a sad little sigh. Oh.
"Gabriel?" Marc asks looking between us. "He was on your team too right?"
I nodded, noticing Sang looking at the stage with a somber expression. "I'm still kind of confused on who was all in your team." Corey tells me.
Before I could respond Karen comes back over excitedly. "The owner is loving the showcase so far! I think he's going to let this become a semi annual thing!" She practically squeals with joy.
"Karen that is amazing! Congratulations." Sang turns in her chair so Karen can pull her into a hug. I didn't think that they were this close. Maybe I didn't know Sang as much as I thought and that just makes my heart hurt.
"Sang they loved you, please perform again. There's a extra slot." Karen begs.
"I don't think so, that was so nerve wracking." Sang says quickly, almost shrinking into herself.
"Sang you were so good up there. You have nothing to worry about just sing your second choice." Karen begs.
I knew how Sang handled stress and anxeity, she doesn't get nervous before the event but after shes a trembling mess, like how she was after she sand on the stage. "How about some liquid courage?" Marc asks with a smile.
"Yes! Let's get some shots in you." Karen says before she motions to the bartender for some shots.
"If you aren't comfortable you don't have to." I tell Sang.
"I want to hear your beautiful voice again." Raven says peering down at Sang with a suggestive smile.
"I'll do it. I'll take the shots for fun." Sang says a little cautiously but with a smile.
"Yes girl! Shots are on me tonight for the table." Karen tells the waiter who puts a tray of 5 shots in front of Sang. 5 just for Sang? She's a small girl!
"That's a lot of shots do you want them all for yourself?" Marc asks probably with the same thoughts that I have.
"These are all for Sang." Karen says wagging her finger at the rest of us. "No sharing."
Sang gets this determined look on her face and starts downing them. The look of shock on all of our faces says it all. "Damn! That was fucking hot!" Raven says putting his arm around Sang.
Sang giggles and peers up at him with a little smirk. I've never seen Sang drink shots that quick. Who the hell has she been drinking with? Why wasn't it with me?
"I'm ready!" Sang says grinning at Karen.
"Yessss girl! Lets go get ready backstage." Karen says dragging Sang away with Sang laughing.
"Fuck she's hot." Raven says with a chuckle.
"Karen?" I ask confused.
"She's a cutie sure. But Sang is perfect she's so beautiful." Raven says with grin he looks at me almost challengingly.
"She is." I say. A little sadness coming into my heart.
"Can I ask why you guys broke up?" Corey asks softly. "I can tell you still care about her."
"There was some jealousy in the group, it was tearing us apart. Sang wanted to take a break to give everyone some space to clear our heads and to try again when we all felt it was right. But our team had a meeting that night, without her. We decided to break the relationship up as a group. Sang took it surprisingly well."
"As a group? You two broke up with the agreement of the group?" Marc asks looking confused as hell.
"Not exactly." I start but then the MC announces Sang.
There is a major difference between how Sang came out for the first performance and this one, she looks all pumped up and big smiles, she is probably drunk now or atleast getting there. "Let's party!" Sang calls out into the microphone and everyone cheers and some people even hoot and holler in encouragement.
The music starts playing and I recognize it instantly 'Don't you worry 'bout a thing'. I mainly recognize the song from the movie "Sing" and I remembered watching that as a family with Sang only a few months ago. Sang gets the crowd going she looks like she's having the best time of her life and damn she's s hitting all the notes perfectly. The waiter brings us a tray full of shots and I take a few my eyes not leaving Sang once, I notice the other guys are memorized too I also notice Raven taking a few shots as well, Marc downing one but Corey not touching them. Huh Designated driver probably.
