*Alexis's POV*
"Well Alexis Jade Merrill I'm very disappointed in you." A voice spoke.
A light came down to reveal my brother Ace, giving me a glare.
"If it wasn't for you, your mother would still be alive." Another voice spoke.
A light came down, showing my father with a beer bottle in his hand and bruised knuckles.
A giant light came down to reveal one more person. I was now seeing three people standing around me.
My dad.
Ace.
My mother.
They were all looking at me with death glares, none of them uttering a single word.
"I'm very disappointed in you Alexis." Ace repeated.
"I wish your mother would've never had you, then maybe she'd still be alive." My father said.
"I wish I would've never had you, you're nothing but a disappointment." My mother spoke.
Their words hurt, like a thousand daggers were stabbed into my body.
"Worthless..." They all said in unison.
"No..." I cried.
A bright white light then came down across the way. Chris came running out of it, instantly running in my direction.
"Don't listen to them Alexis!" He yelled.
Chris ran over to me, pulling me into his arms and picking me up.
"You can't save her Chris." Ace told Chris.
"I can, and I will." Chris said.
Chris took off running with me in his arms, going back to the bright light where he came from.
My nightmare came to an end when the sound of coyotes howling erupted from the woods. The five of us shot up from our sleeping bags.
"Oh my god." Vern said dramatically.
"Its that Brower kid. His ghost is out walking in the woods." Teddy said just to scare Vern.
"I promise I won't read no more dirty books! I promise I won't say no more bad swears! I promise I'll eat all my lima beans!" Vern ranted.
Teddy came up behind Vern and tapped his shoulder, making him jump.
"Two for flinching." Teddy said before punching Vern twice in the shoulder.
Chris had the pistol out, ready for anything to happen. Gordie and I scooted over to Chris's side.
"What is it Chris?" I asked.
"Maybe it's coyotes." Chris answered.
"It sounds like a woman screaming." Gordie said.
"It's not coyotes, it's his ghost." Teddy continued to scare Vern.
"Oh don't say that!" Vern said, terrified out of his mind.
Teddy got up and started walking towards the woods.
"Teddy shut up and sit down." I told Teddy.
"I'm gonna go look for it. I wanna see the ghosts." Teddy continued.
