"Alright everyone, listen up! We're going to board the plane in a few minutes, so don't go far" the teacher announced before continuing his talk with one of the employees.

Not even a second passed yet the crowd already split up into small groups, walking around in awe as they stared at the gigantic inside of the building. Some ran over to the glass walls where the humongous planes were visible on the other side.

Others ran around teasing the girls as they chased them. They were giving the seven-yes seven- teachers a rather hard time. There was only supposed to be three comming but things got out of hand, again. Well, it's only to be expected from high school students.

Everyone was beaming with excitement, all except for one boy, James. He is- was a very social and hard working boy, that is until his life took a wrong turn. An accident that's rarely spoken of involving the death of his sister. The story being that of something that would haunt him for the rest of his life.

He started isolating himself from life and his friends, avoiding conversations and never greets anyone. But his sister's death also took a toll on his parents, they started by feeding him less, simple slaps and harsh words. But as the years went by, his treatment only worsened, simple slaps turned into punches and kicks, harsh words turned into cuts and brushes.

He was not allowed to go to friends, eat 'luxurious foods' like sandwiches or hamburgers, only the scraps from his parents' meals, which wasn't much.

Neither was he allowed to show his face in front of his parents, and if he did, they would give him another session of fiscal and emotional torture. If he ate any type of food at school, he was forced to throw it up at home.

And if he tried to run away, he's parents just sends the police after him with a missing person's report. Even if he refused to go back and begged the police to not return him, his parents would just say that he's high or that he's been seeing a psychiatrist.

He had to cope with not enough sleep and keep his good grades, otherwise who knows what his parents would do. The kids at school started to hate him since he pushed his friends away, and that made things only worse. They told the teachers lies about him and said stuff like "he always skips the other teacher's classes", and I mean, hey, always gotta believe the popular kids who have a good rep.

James wasn't even supposed to be here today, in fact, he's not allowed out of the house at all. But he snuck out, taking some money he saved and a backpack full of clothes with him.

He just stared at the scene in front of him, he sighed and ran a hand through his black hair. "Sorry Alice" he whispered, remembering the promise he made to his sister.

He was planning on leaving, that's why he's going on this trip. He figured he could hitch a ride on the other side to his aunts house and maybe live with her, at least until he graduates.

After a while the flight attended guided all of them to their seats. The seats was arranged in three rows, two at the sides and four in the middle.

As the students sat down, the captain told them to buckle up before starting the engine. James took a seat near the window, right next to the wing. He started out of the window as the plane took off. He was finally leaving the city, leaving that hell house he calls home.

Some flight attendees walk past him and offered him some snacks and water but he refused, after all, 5 years of not eating enough makes a bag of snacks too much to eat.

He crossed his arms and leaned his head against the window as he stared at his reflection, lifeless sky blue eyes with dark circles underneath them, black messy hair amd his pale skin.

He was a walking corps.

He closed his eyes and waited for the four hour flight to end, he drifted off to sleep.

"Sir! Please calm down!".

James's eyes shot open when he heard a loud bang followed by screams. He turned his attention to what was happening and his eyes were glued on a man, covered in sweat -probably in his fourties- unzipping his jacket revealing numerous cables and duck tape.

His eyes traveled up a cable connected to a box in the man's left hand. The man was shouting commands, or at least, that's what it looked like but James couldn't hear him, his hearing was dulled from fear.

He shook his head, coming back to reality. He gulped as his eyes traveled down the mans right arm, his hand, it was holding a small black pistol, and it was pointed at a woman lying on the floor.

The crowd of passengers was get louder with screams and shouts. "SHUT UP!" the man yelled catching everyone's attention. He backed away but still pointed the gun at the bleeding woman. "I'm so sorry" he mumbled as he looked at the pistol then at everyone else.

"I'M SORRY!" he screamed and swung the gun around like a mad man, forcing people to duck.

"Please sir! You have to think this through!" a guy -looks my age-said as he raised his hands and stepped out behind a seat and into the seat pitch. He took a step closer to the man but froze when the man lift his left hand with the trigger high into the air.

"Come any closer and I'll... I-I'LL PUSH THE BUTTON!!" he hastily yelling. The boy nodded and slowly lowered himself to sit.

"Just calm-"

"NO! It's too late!"

Without a second thought James slowly walked over to the man.

"I know how you feel" James said and raised his hands into the air. The man turned his attention to James and frowned.

"YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ME!" he pointed the gun at him. The boy gasped and tried to help but James put up his hand to stop him. Turning his head back to the suicidal man in front of him he took a step closer.

"I know how it feels to feel like you have no way out" he continues, "like there's no other option" the man stared wide-eyed at James. James's hands started shaking from all the adrenaline but he rolled them into fist, hoping no one would see.

"S-stay back!" the man pointed the gun at him as tears began forming in the corner of his eyes. But James continued slowly walking closer.

"I know how it feels, to be scared" he said causing the man to gasp. The boy slowly stood up and also continued forward, "Let me take the woman, she needs medical attention and quick" he said.

The man just stared at him before slowly nodding. The boy walked over to the bleeding woman and dragged her-by her arms- to the back of the plane. A doctor came running to her side with a bag.

The man watched all of this through watery eyes, oblivious to the fact that James continued walking closer.

"Just, give me the gun" James's voice stripped him from his thoughts and back to reality. He jumped and shouted angrily at him "STAY BACK O-OR YOU'RE NEXT!".

"No"

"Ugh! DIE!"

"No! Don-"
