"Master Soma! Master Soma?!" the goblin cried out as he ran through the big mansion. Worried sick about the whereabouts of his young master. He ran down multiple hallways, in search of the household trouble maker.
Once he finally came to a stop he was out of breath and already gasping for air. "Mistress will never forgive me!" he uttered und his breath. With the last bit of energy he had left in his body, he crawled through a doorway in search of a glass of water or something to ease the pain in his throat.
With desperate eyes searching the room, he spotted a particular little devil..."Master Soma!! I found you! Oh thank the heavens!" he cried as tears of joy formed in his eyes.
The baby just stared at him, looking uninterested as always. He had a really old book in his hands while sitting on the floor. Granzoul rushed to his side and yanked the book out of his hands," No no no. This book is too heavy and full of dust! You'll develop some sort of undetected illness... Or worse..." he trailed.
He grabbed Soma and started shaking him furiously, checking every inch of him for a rash or something. "ARE YOU ALREADY INFECTED?!" he dropped baby Soma and ran to go get some weird looking herbs.
(A/n: Wow... Great babysitter)
Soma took this opportunity to execute his escape plan. But sadly for him, Granzoul got him. He started poring various potions down the baby's mouth. He even wrapped him in bandages to the point that he can now be classified as a mummy.
Although trapped in his cocoon, he still continued to struggle, wiggling himself from side to side, trying to break free or at least gat away from the green midget holding a pair of HUGE scissors.
What the f**k is wrong with him?!
Soma screamed in his mind. The scissors closed in on him, aimed in no particular direction. Luckily for Soma...he was aiming for a loose thread.
He grabbed Soma and started rocking him, but Granzoul was in such a daze he didn't realize he was turning Soma into a milkshake. He laid the baby down in his basket—and then froze.
"Master Soma? Why are you green?!" he started to panic once again. Huge sweat drops revealed themselves on his face as he scratched his head, searching for a solution.
Then he got an idea, he picked Soma up and hugged him (A/n: you know how you hold a baby when you want to burp him... Dis nie maklik om in engels te beskryf nie).
He started smacking him on the back, planing on burping him. Soma could feel a lump rise in his throat, and he knew this wouldn't be pretty.
Let's just say Granzoul had to mop the floor after that.

After a few weeks Granzoul began getting more restless for some reason. For instance, he would not take his eyes off Soma anymore, he would sleep less and spend half of the night pacing around the room just mumbling stuff to himself.
He would always go get herbs in the garden and pack it in a small sash he carries with him. And that's not all, he spent days locked up in the library just scanning through various books and scrolls.
These are all things that he rarely do, or that was until a few days ago. Soma could've sworn he saw a letter or something of the sort in Granzoul's hand the other day, but of course it didn't bother him at the time.
He was more focused on figuring something out for incase something bad happens. While Granzoul drowned in multiple pages at once, Soma sneaked deeper into the library to see if he can find any books about magic.
But what he didn't realize is that more than half of the library is filled with books about magic. So when he decided the cost is clear, he wiggled side to side as he tried to stand.
Sure his body is weak and he fell down a few times but, I mean 19th time's a charm... Right? After finally being able to keep his balance, he reached up and grabbed the first book he could find.
Pulling it down, it turned out to be a book for beginners— which made Soma very happy, though he didn't show it.
He wiped the dust off the title with his little chubby hands. He struggled to understand the language the book was written in, hey, who could blame a baby for not knowing how to read?
After an hour or so, he realized that he was not going to succeed at this, so he took out a story book with pictures.
It showed different options and symbols— stuff he just skipped through to get to the good part. Ah, here we go. Magic for children: Spark- produce a light from hand-
This should be easy. Soma thought. The first step is probably to gather the magic deep within me and gather it in my hand... But how do I do that? And what's more, I didn't receive any powers or a talent for magic from that sorry excuse for a 'god'.
Soma tried his hardest but he couldn't even summon a tiny little ounce of magic with his weak body. In fact, he didn't even know if it was possible for people without skill to do magic.
He was about to take the book to Granzoul and ask for his help but thought better of it when he remembered last time he touched a book.
He put the book in a spot he knew he would find again, and wonder off back to the green midget. He was barely halfway when he was grabbed by a green blur. Granzoul rushed out of the library and through the mansion doors, outside. But he didn't stop there, he continued running with both Soma and his bag on his shoulder without turning back.
The smell of blood hung in the air...
