Finnick and Katniss. Love is Warfare

Chapter 2.

"Come on Mags paddle over here and I'll help you up." I say smiling. She flashes me a toothy grin. She makes her way over, treading the water. I reach down and hoist her on to the rocks. She coughs once then grabs onto me and stands onto her feet, shaking ever so slightly, I know it can't be from the air or the water as it's very humid here.

"Katniss come on over here." Finnick calls. I help Mags over helping her over rocks and crevices hoping she doesn't fall or hurt herself. I know that if she falls I'll get pulled down with her.

"Where to?" I ask

"We could stay here in the centre or go to the beach at the edge of the forest. Or go into the forest." Finnick says looking at other weapons and picking them up.

"Forest." Mags says I glance at Finnick and see a worried look in his eyes.

"Mags everyone else has gone in the forest though. Are you sure?" He asks with a calmness to his voice.

"Forest!" She says again.

"Okay come on this way." I say picking up the bow and about 50 arrows.

"That many?" Finnick asks looking at me like I'm insane.

"We don't know what's in there. We need to be ready for anything. Any way how many weapons do you have?" I say pointing at him.

"What? I have some for when we meet up with Johanna, Beetee and Wiress." He says stating the obvious.

"Right okay." I say and start marching off down one of the rock lines. I see Finnick is helping Mags. I get to the end of the rocks and get ready to dive in to swim to the sand that ran around the edge of the forest. "You guys okay to swim?" I call back. I turn around to see that Finnick is submerged under the water and Mags clinging on to the rocks. I'm about to run and help when strong hands grasp my ankles. I feel a sharp tug on one. I let them drag it back then add extra force and I feel my foot connect with either a face or shoulder, I wasn't going to turn to find out. I run towards where I can see Mags is struggling to hold on. I hoist her up and pull out my bow and an arrow and shoot at Peeta who has Finnick in a headlock, I don't feel any emotion as I shoot at him. In fact I'm sure I smile a bit as the arrow connects with Peeta's shoulder and goes in deep. He lets out a mangled cry and swims off. The other careers swim off with him.

"Need any help?" I call to Finnick.

"Nah I'm good thanks." He says pulling himself up.

"Still want the forest Mags?" I ask. She nods. I look to Finnick. He shakes his head ever so slightly. I turn to see Mags about to dive into the water to swim out to the beach. I shrug at Finnick and go stand next to Mags. We dive at the same time. The water is warm and thick. I swim towards the beach keeping an eye on Mags at all time.

"You two Okay?" Finnick asks as we come up onto the warm sand. I nod. Little did I know that the nod was premature. If i had waited 5 minutes before answering it would be a shake of the head. We make sure we have everything and walk into the thickly packed trees. We start walking at a slight tilt as the arena starts on a slope. I see Mags struggling ever so slightly. Finnick notices to and even as she shakes him away he still picks her up and carries her on his back. I take the lead, trying to find the edge of the arena.

Also as a competition, What do you guys what to happen in the other time sectors of the arena. I mean you know the lightning and stuff, but in the unknown ones. I need one suggestion for that as a special surprise.
