Chapter 7

Yuzu and Matsuri arrived in front of the building and trembled
There are guards? Damn...what did Nitski do to get herself in so much trouble?
"Oh no...these guards must've been sent out since Nitski barged in without permission" Cyndi said
"Pfft...typical Nitski" Matsuri said
"We have to try and get in" Yuzu said
"And how do you plan to do that?" Matsuri asked
"Hmm? I don't know. Come on. Let's go" Yuzu said as she got out of the car and walked to the building
"Yuzu-chan wait!" Matsuri said and got out of the car as well. Yuzu only stomped her way towards the front doors
"Excuse me ma'am but do you have an appointment?" The man asked
"I am here to see Shai" Yuzu said
"I am very sorry but she is busy at the moment" The man said sternly
"Let us in" Yuzu said sternly as she glared at them
"I'm sorry ma'am but we have to ask you to leave before we force you" The man said
"Make me" Yuzu said as she set her hand on fire. The men trembled and looked at each other
"V-very well ma'am" The man said and allowed Yuzu inside followed by Matsuri. Cyndi only stayed outside waiting for them

Yuzu and Matsuri walked up to elevator and got in. Yuzu was a bit too quiet which worried Matsuri
"Yuzu-chan...are you okay?" Matsuri asked. Yuzu only looked down and clenched her fists tightly
Flashback
"I-I'm sorry...I really didn't mean to..." Yuzu cried and looked down. Ume held her closely and cried. Yuzu cried loudly and held her mother closely
"I didn't mean to kill him! This is all my fault!" Yuzu cried
"Yuzu...please don't blame this on yourself" Ume said. Yuzu growled and pushed her mother away
"Look at me! I'm a monster! A monster! I hate this power! It's my fault I burnt down everything!" Yuzu cried
"No...Yuzu please..." Ume said. Yuzu cried loudly and her arms started to set on fire. Ume looked at her daughter and ran up to her hugging her not caring about the fire that Yuzu was building up
"Don't cry Yuzu...it's not your fault. It was an accident and accidents happen..." Ume said. Yuzu cried loudly and her flames started to cool down
"Why am I born like this? Why did I have to have flames? I only end up hurting people..." Yuzu cried
"You'll learn to control it..." Ume said. Yuzu gripped onto her mother's shirt and cried
"This is all my fault mother...all my fault...don't you understand?" Yuzu said as she cried
"Please don't blame yourself for what happened...I promise it'll be okay...you just have to stay strong. Stay strong for me...stay strong for papa" Ume said as her voice cracked. Yuzu hugged her mother tightly and cried. Ume pulled away and cupped her cheeks. She wiped her tears away and kissed her forehead softly
"Stay strong Yuzu...promise me. You'll stay strong for papa and me..." Ume whispered
"I-I promise..." Yuzu cried
End Of Flashback
The elevator doors opened and Yuzu walked out with a serious expression. For many people being born with a power to attack could be awesome but those born with it believe it's a curse for them and their family. Ever since Yuzu's father passed away because of her, she has believed her power was a curse. She only burned things down and destroy everything. Yuzu reached up to hold the necklace she wore. The necklace was from her mother since she ended up passing away. The Aihara stepsisters were devastated during their funeral especially Yuzu. Yuzu was a mess when her mother died. Mei and her friends tried everything they could to cheer her up but Yuzu wasn't able to go back to her old self. The only person who could've been able to help her was her cousin. Shai and Yuzu were fire and ice. They were opposites but they both had a special connection that no one else could've had with them. Yuzu headed to the big office and stood in the front door
I know exactly what to say to her. Something that she has to remember between us...
Yuzu took a deep breathe before knocking on the door
"Come in please" Shai said. Yuzu opened the door and Shai's eyes widen
"Y-yuzu? M-matsuri?" Shai asked. Yuzu looked at the other side and saw the woman from the picture
So that's the slut Shai has been fucking with...
"Shai...we must talk" Yuzu said in her serious tone which surprised Shai since she only remembered Yuzu as a cheerful and bright person. Right now Yuzu seemed serious
"O-of course" Shai said feeling slightly scared of her cousin
"Hmmm...I guess it's a serious topic then. I'll see you later babe" Hinria said and kissed Shai's cheek
"Okay baby" Shai said. Hinria walked pass Yuzu and couldn't help but tremble seeing Yuzu's glare. Hinria left closing the door
"Disgusting..." Yuzu said
"Excuse me?" Shai asked
"Shai...I believe you know why we're here since Nitski was here" Yuzu said. Shai's eyes widen and sighed
"Please leave then..." Shai said
"Is that how you treat your family!?" Yuzu exclaimed
"Please leave unless you want me to kick you out by force" Shai said. Yuzu's eyes glowed and gritted her teeth
"Y-yuz-"
"Why were you hiding all this time?!" Yuzu exclaimed
"I was way too busy helping my grandmother. Besides my grandmother didn't want me to grab the attention of many people" Shai said
"How come you can't remember? Shai! Are you blind!? Your grandmother is an old hag bitch who erased your memories!" Yuzu shouted
"Again with that shit?! Just leave me alone! I don't understand what is going on but you guys need to stop!" Shai said
"Shai! The laboratory! They erased your mind and killed your father!" Yuzu shouted. Shai growled and stood up slamming her hands on her desk
"My parents left me! My grandmother was the only one who took me in!" Shai shouted. Yuzu felt fury run through her veins then ran up to Shai punching her hard across her face
"YOUR MOTHER ABANDONED YOU WHILE YOUR FATHER WAS MURDERED! HE WAS ALIVE AND YOU MET HIM! BUT HE WAS MURDERED BY YOUR GRANDMOTHER!" Yuzu shouted. Shai fell to the ground and trembled. She clenched her fists tightly and stood up
"How come you can't remember? You said I was the only person you trusted because I was the one to be by your side back then!" Yuzu said
"You don't get it! You don't understand being alone!" Shai said
"I do get it! I killed my very own father with my flames! My mother was the only person I had and you! Now my mother is gone! I don't have anyone else but you now! I may have friends and a wife but...you're important to me! You're my family!" Yuzu shouted as she cried. Shai's eyes widen and trembled
"Wh-what?" Shai asked
"My mother passed away...she left me...and now...I only have you as my true family..." Yuzu cried loudly. Shai's vision started to blur and tears started rolling down her cheeks. Matsuri stood in the back and looked down as tears started building up in her eyes. She walked up to Yuzu and hugged her tightly. It's been a while since the three ever spoke about the incident and Yuzu trusted the two of them with her secret. Shai felt her heart ache seeing her cousin cry right in front of her eyes. Her eyes widen hearing a voice in her head
"After what you told me what happened...I just couldn't stand there and watch you get upset. You usually smile and make other people's day. I wanted that Yuzu back but...everything seemed to change since you became her stepsister. It pissed me off when you told me what she'd done to you. You may say it's none of my business but we're cousins...friends...sisters. You're the only person I can trust now...that's why I need to protect you"
"Hahaha...the main reason I moved away was because of my mother. She ended up abandoning me after my father's death...so my grandmother came in and told me that she would take me in as long as I become the next heir to the Higashi family. So...I had no other choice but to accept. Everything seemed fine but...my mind was going crazy...people ended up calling me crazy all because of complaining of seeing things that feel so really to me. My grandmother had enough and said I needed mental help...but it only seemed to get worse. I just decided to lie and say I was fixed but it only got worse. During my school life...I tried to follow your example and be kind to everyone but..."
"But I'm not like you! Many of those kids kept pushing me down and kicking me! I couldn't do anything else but cry and smile saying I'm fine! Hehehehe...not until I met with her and told me what to do...now I know I don't have to act kind. I should just beat them to the ground like they did to me and see them cry like little babies...hahaha! That's the only way for them to fucking leave me alone!"
Wh-what...is g-going on? M-my mind...my heart...e-everything is hurting...
Flashback
"Shai you are a Higashi. Start acting like one.." Her grandmother said. Shai only looked at the poor girl who pleaded for some change
"Gr-grandmother...but we have to help them" Shai said
"Shai...do I have to repeat myself?" Her grandmother asked
"N-no ma'am" Shai said and walked pass the homeless girl. She felt bad but she only kept walking ignoring the girl. Her grandmother turned to look at her and smile
"Remember Shai...a Higashi must only care about themselves and not others" Her grandmother said
"H-huh? But...what about...family?" Shai asked
"Shai...you shouldn't worry about your family. You should worry only about yourself and your reputation okay?" Her grandmother asked
"Yes grandmother. I understand" Shai said

Grandmother said not to care but...I just can't stand here and do nothing...
Shai started to walk up to Yuzu and Matsuri then held out her two hands
"I-I'm sorry for your loss..." Shai said as tears rolled down her cheeks. Yuzu and Matsuri reached their hand out as they got back up. Shai's eyes widen as Yuzu and Matsuri hugged her. Shai trembled and more tears kept rolling down her then wrapped their arms around them both
Wh-why...what is g-going on?

"Ugh...my legs are getting tired of walking around" Juhin whined
"Is there a park nearby?" Nene asked
"Well Cyndi did tell me there was a park. It won't take long to get there" Nitski said
"It'd be better if we had a ride" Juhin said
"Yeah and may I ask where you left your bags?" Nitski asked
"Since you sent the address where Shai was. We found a hotel nearby and I told Kang to take our bags there" Himeko said
"Damn someone came prepared..." Nitski said and laughed softly
"Of course" Himeko said
"Hey and who is this person?" Nitski asked
"Sasha Strike...I'm one of Diane's friends" Sasha said
"Oh do you know Hinria then?" Nitski asked
"Kinda. I only know her because of Diane complaining so much about her" Sasha said
"Hm? So why are you here?" Nitski asked
"I came to only help Momokino-san out and help her get Shai back" Sasha said
"Aww so you two are friends?" Nitski asked
"No" Himeko and Sasha said in unison. After walking for a bit, everyone decided to take a rest for a moment at a bench especially Mei who had to deal with her son Mokuro. Sasha looked around for a moment and her eyes widen seeing Hinria with...

"What are you looking at?" Himeko asked
"H-huh? Well I saw H-hinria" Sasha said. Himeko's eyes widen and grabbed her
"Where?' Himeko asked
"Th-there" Sasha said. Himeko looked up and spotted the bitch. She smirked as her eyes glowed
