Reason 4.**
Scrolling down my twitter page, i really do not understand what is Twitter for exactly. Lucas didn't respond to any of my texts which made me worried, I allowed the thoughts run through my head as I let out a sigh. Maybe he was with his girlfriend? Doesn't he want to know reason number four? I was sitting alone on the blue couch while my family's all out with their friends. It was a Thursday night, and I was relieved that tomorrow's Friday.
I decided to sleep early tonight so I'll wake up early tomorrow, and not be late like everyday.
*
* Friday *I opened my locker, grabbed my books, and closed it again. My eyes landed on Lucas who was walking with his head low, hoodie up, and Elliot walked next to him.
I frowned as I made my way to them, "what's wrong?" I asked.
"Why do you care?" Lucas asked, his voice filled with sadness.
I clenched my books tight, and licked my lips. "I'll be with Peter if you need me."
"I won't need you, not now and not forever," he snorted.
I rolled my eyes, I walked down the hallway and entered my classroom. I saw Peter sitting at our usual seats, and made my way to him. "Did you see Aaron's Instagram post?"
I hugged, "Why would I?"
"Because it's about you," Peter said. "Here, see it!"
He handed me his phone, showing a picture of Aaron and I smiling.
Aaron was my ex boyfriend who was also Lucas' old best friend, I broke up with after I caught him bullying my little brother. He got expelled when he tried killing my brother, he blamed him for our break up. Yet, he knew that I blamed him for our break up.
Under the picture, the caption was 'never give up on something you can't go a day without thinking about. Heard he stole you from me, but guess who'll win it back?'
Peter sighed, "I think Lucas and Aaron don't like each other now."
"I don't like neither, Aaron tried killing my brother and Lucas was in on it," I shook my head. "I felt weird when Daniel mentioned him in front of Finn."
"Lucas tried to stop him though, Malia," Peter defended.
"He should've tried harder," I whispered. "If I didn't arrive at the house early, Finn would've been dead."
I decided to write him a letter, and stick it on his desk.
I grabbed a paper and a pen, and started writing.
Dear Lucas...
I don't know what happened to you, but trust me; Aaron will never win me back. Not when he tried killing my brother, or even bullied him.
I guess reason number four is obvious. You were with Aaron when he bullied Finn, you knew he was my brother. Still, didn't defend Finn. I remember seeing Finn cry, and when I ask him 'why' he kept refusing to tell me.
That's when I learned that words hurt more than bruises. I saw Finn hurt and I couldn't help him, because I didn't know who to blame. I didn't know who was the bully. But then, when I saw Finn lying on the floor, whole Aaron's foot was on his stomach, I knew it was him. But it's different than when I saw Aaron pointing a gun at my brother and you standing behind him, it broke me into pieces. The way I found out that you guys were bullying my brother was not right, I saw you push him into the coldest lake ever, and he was naked.
If you really want me to forgive you for what you did, apologize to my brother and make it up for him. If he forgave you, then so do I. (Only the bully thing)
From,
Malia.I placed it on his table, and sat on mine. I waited for him to come, and finally, he appeared.
He read the letter calmly, when he finished, he turned around and met my eyes. He nodded and gave me a smile.
When the class was finally over, I saw Lucas making his way over to Finn and his friends. He talked to him, and Finn nodded.
Once they're done, Lucas walked over to me, and smiled. "He forgave me, he knew that it wasn't my fault."
"Glad he did, Finn is not really the forgiving person," I grinned. "Want to tell me what's bothering you?"
Reason number four: bullied my brother.

Once we are done with the reasons, I'll make sure to give you guys a bonus chapter so you guys can get to know Lucas.
