Tenn's prologue

Tanabata festival...

The festival where two star-crossed lovers meet once a year...

I wonder... could I meet someone special like that...

Of course not... because the person who is the most special to me is gone...

Since 7 years ago...

I've hated that festival.

"Oi, Tenn when are you going to leave? Or are you just gonna stay at school looking out the window all day"

Yaotome Gaku. One of the two friends that Tenn had, it wasn't that there was anything wrong with Tenn well... not after what had happened seven years ago.

"Are you even listening to me?" he spoke again, observing Tenn who was sitting at his desk peering out of the window he was sat next to. The school bell rang minutes ago and yet he and Gaku were still at school even though today was somewhat special in Japan.

Tenn finally looked over at Gaku tired of seeing the window view showing the main entrance of the school and the still blue sky, he just wanted to waste as much time as possible for today, "Sorry Gaku, I was just daydreaming" standing up, he grabbed his bag and pushed his chair in the desk but stared out the window again consuming more time which was his motive anyway.

"Hurry up already, this is your first time going with us so I'm going to make the most out of it and make it memorable for all three of us" Gaku said placing his hand on top of Tenn's shoulders.

Feeling Gaku's hand on his shoulder, Tenn sighed and shook Gaku's hand off. "Look I'm only going because you and Ryuu had been bugging me all this week about it and I couldn't focus with school work if I kept getting written notes from you and Ryuu across the classroom, my apartment and when I walk to school."

Before Gaku could object they heard a familiar voice at the door of the entrance,  "Are you ready? Gaku, Tenn?"

Tsunashi Ryunosuke. the other friend of Tenn's, he was much more level-headed compare to Gaku who was the opposite and yet both were still great friends in Tenn's opinion.

Seeing Ryuu already here probably worried about the other two because of how long they were in their class for, Gaku grabbed Tenn's wrist "Alright now we're all ready, let's head to the store first to buy some things and then we can start getting ready" he then dragged him to where Ryuu was and all three started walking out of the high school they attend.

"H-hey, I can walk myself you know!"

Walking out of the store now with bags full of food and some colourful paper strips to write wishes on and preparing themselves for the evening.

They had already planned things that when they finish hanging up their wishes on the bamboo stalks around the village they would go to Tenn's apartment and celebrate just the three of them. However, Tenn really didn't want to go out on this day and just preferred staying at home but if he did then Gaku and Ryuu would bug him every single time they meet, night and day, it was only this one time anyway and that's it Tenn had thought.

Finally reaching at Tenn's house, Ryuu gave Tenn the bags to put it in his place for now so after they finish they can go straight to Tenn's apartment. "We should all meet with each other at eight okay? The sun should start setting at that time I think?" Gaku sounded unsure at the last part but it didn't matter to them at all, they can just stay in the village center eating all of the street foods they serve on this day.
