Chapter 3: Returned

"Tenn-nii!"

"Ri- ?!" Before Tenn could call out Riku's name the other's body slammed onto his as he hugged him, Tenn lost his balance and both fell in the water.

 Tenn's bottom collided with the cold river first and probably left a mark and feeling the pain but, the feeling of the pain was never there. Before he fell he had circled his right arm on the other's waist so he won't hit the ground instead, the other person who looks like Riku but shouldn't be him because he's gone had now has his arms wrapped around Tenn's neck and his head resting on Tenn's left shoulder. Luckily, the river wasn't deep at all and only went up to their legs but since they fell in both of their clothes were completely from the splash. Also, both of their hair is partially wet with water drops dripping into the river.

 Tenn blinked snapping out of his clouded thoughts of what just happened as he felt the body of the other tremble, "... Riku ...Is it really you... ?" he asked uncertain if it was the real Riku. Turning his head slightly, the first thing he saw was beautiful red hair that was so familiar to him. It's impossible for Riku to be here he thought.

Th person grasped Tenn's clothes tighter and quietly whimpered, "Tenn-nii... Tenn-nii... Tenn-nii... " Tenn could hear his soft voice calling out his name repeatedly.  "It's really me Tenn-nii... I've missed you so so much and yearned every single day to talk to you" choking on his word slightly from the sobs, Tenn could feel his shoulder wet from the tears. It didn't matter to him, he was already wet anyway.

Tenn's eyes glistened when he heard Riku. Closing his eyes, Tenn brought Riku closer to him wrapping his left arm around Riku's waist and with his right hand, he stroked Riku's hair lovingly feeling the soft hair. "I've missed you too Riku, it's been quiet a while hasn't it?" he opened his longing eyes finally able to hold his younger brother tightly like this and never wanting to let go even though they were sat in a river.

Riku nodded his head and muttered, "Uh-huh" not wanting to lift his face because he knew he was quite a mess right now and din't want Tenn to see him. 

A minute had passed but for them it felt like hours, Tenn questioned why Riku was here right now, physically. "Riku, didn't you died? Why are you here?" Tenn backed away a little helping Riku to sit upright by pushing his shoulders gently. 

He could still hear the gentle sobbed from Riku as he tried to wipe his tears away and made sniffled noise which Tenn found lovable and cute. "I did but I came back, I didn't say my farewell to you and I didn't get to see you, mother or father one last time. I know that they are gone and left you and you was lonely weren't you?" Wiping one last tear, Riku placed both of his hands in the river feeling the cold touch and looked down to see his reflection trying to dodge Tenn's eye contact. "Of course I wanted to come and see you but I had to stay up in the sky palace with Tentei-sama and help him with weaving clothes for all the deities. But today, he told me I can see you and come down to Earth and now I'm here."

Tentei? Tenn heard that name from school and realized that he heard it from his history class, Tentei was the sky King or also know as the universe itself. What does the Sky King associated with Riku though? "Is Tentei your King or something? Wait! Does he hurt you or put you through hard labor?! If he does, I would like to speak with him right now!" Tenn came closer to Riku and chancing his position to a kneeling on instead to lean closer to Riku wanting the answer. 

"Eh?" Riku looked towards where Tenn was and saw his face that was filled with anger and understood what Tenn meant and shook his head. "Wait, no! Tentei-sama is not like that!" Riku waved his hands at Tenn trying to tell him that he was definitely wrong. "He was the one who let me come down on Earth and gave me this form." Riku placed his right hand on his chest showing Tenn the form. 

Tenn hadn't noticed yet but Riku didn't look ten anymore and now look the same age as Tenn, as Riku showed his form, it clicked in Tenn's head. "You've grown so much, haven't you Riku? How is that possible? I've always remembered you when you was ten and was so small" Reminiscing about the past of when they were children and how much fun they had with the whole family loving each other dearly before everything broke and shattered like glass.

 "I don't know either." It was also unknown to Riku how he still grows, Tentei never mentioned anything about it and he would never want to ask Tentei a question as it seemed rude questioning to a King who had created you back. "Do you prefer me being ten still? Do I look that bad to you Tenn-nii" Riku still had them sad eyes he always used on Tenn when he was little, it worked then and still worked even now. It was unbearable for Tenn and made him feel guilty.

Tenn outstretched his arm and gently placed his left hand on Riku's right cheek, "Don't be silly, you still and will always look cute and fine little brother. I'm sure if you was in school, a lot of girls will love you."  Tenn could see that Riku's eyes changed and the sad eyes disappeared thankfully.

Instead, his face perked up and sparkled with glee. "mmm Tenn-nii!" Riku burst and thrown himself onto Tenn. 

"Ah- Riku!" his bottom was back on the riverbed, he was sure they were almost dried but now wet again.

"I think your handsome and cool Tenn-nii for sure!" Happily hugging Tenn, Riku backed away and held Tenn's hand. 

"Anyway should we go-"

"Oiii, Tenn where are you? We were waiting at yours but you took forever" A voiced yelled out.

Tenn and Riku looked up the slope to see two people at the top, the two men glanced down where Riku and Tenn were. Even though it was dark, Riku and Tenn could vaguely see the shocked expression when they saw Tenn in the river with someone who they never seen before. 

"Tenn?!"
