"Stop being such a spaz Nicky boy. Sabrina fucked it up so we have making fun rights for the rest of the school year." Vera stated as Nick rolled his eyes.
I laughed lightly as Vera and Nick fought over how Vera kept tormenting Sabrina for her botched attempt at necromancy. We were standing in front of the Baphomet statue in the foyer waiting for our next class.
Vera was in the middle of another joke but she shut her mouth quickly as Sabrina entered the Academy and made her way over to us. I smiled weakly, even though I obviously didn't like Sabrina I still felt kind of bad for her.
I know I said it made me happy that she failed, but when Nick told me she and Harvey had broken up and that the mortal had to kill his own brother, I felt really bad for her.
"I am sorry for how everything went down, Sabrina." Nick said as the girl approached him and gave him a small side smile. I nodded as if agreeing with Nick but I didn't because I still told her it wouldn't work.
"How do you know?" She asked surprised as Vera snickered next to me. I glared at Vera as she shrugged and smiled.
"Bad news travels fast." Nick responded as I nodded, she looked down at her feet sadly.
"Yeah Sabrina, everyone is talking about your failed resurrection." Vera said with a smirk on her face. I slapped her arm as she glared at me. Nick turned to glare at Vera deeply.
"Can't I have some fun? Whatever. Thoughts and prayers Spellman." Vera said, snickering and walking off to satan knows where. Vera can be such a good friend but she's a grade A bitch.
"How's Harvey?" I asked her nicely as her face turned to complete sadness. "He's heartbroken and I'm destroyed because I did that to him." She responded as I pulled a sympathy smile. I'm not the type to kick someone when they're already down.
"Well, if you need a shoulder to cry on, someone to listen to you; we're here." Nick said nicely as I nodded. I still felt a sting obviously but the girl was a mess and I wasn't going to keep hating on her for no reason. Sure, she's entitled but what can I do?
"Thank you guys." She said and continued walking towards her classes. Nick turned to me with a wide smile and hugged me tightly.
"That was so mature of you, Lu." He whispered as I smiled softly. "Yeah well, you were right and I wasn't going to kick her when she's already destroyed." I said as Nick smiled and pulled away.
"Plus, I feel sympathy for her. I mean if I did to you what she did to Harvey I would feel like the worst human on Earth." I continued as he nodded in agreement. "Yeah, it's awful." He said as he took my hand and led me over to our next class which was Demonology.

The next day went by quickly. We were currently sitting in conjuring learning about basic conjuring spells. I am fairly excited because next class we are going to conjure a demon and I've never done that before. Nick raised his hand and asked a question, writing the answer down.
Suddenly the doors to the room opened and in came Father Blackwood, whispering something to Mr. Lovecraft. The teacher nodded as Father Blackwood left hurriedly.
"Okay students, we will continue this lecture next class. Right now all of you must go to our church. It is an emergency." Mr. Lovecraft instructed motioning for the doors. People started leaving as Nick walked over to me.
"What do you think it is?" He asked me with a confused expression on his face. We made our way out of the class and followed everyone to the church. Everyone was whispering and muttering about what could this be.
