This is Emma Lee from The Genre Contest Team. I'm here to give updates on how things are going over on our end while you wait for us to judge your entries.

I can't say much for anyone but myself, but judging takes time. There are so many things to consider and I hate to hurt people's feelings when I can't give them the best score for what they have. I understand conditions, but I still have to judge based on my own experience and reading to judging skills.

Just today, I have 41 entries to judge. I have to take in all of the mature and explicit entries as well as ones that catch my eye and interest me. Currently, there are 205 entries in my inbox, and I have to try to divide them all evenly between five judges so that everyone gets their own load.

Depending on how all of us are doing, in the next week or so, I will be shortening the submission period to give us judges more time to judge and get everything rock solid.

Thank you for your continued support and no, we haven't forgotten about you guys or our obligations to this contest. We just need time to do everything in stride so nothing gets lost in translation. For now, the contest is still open, but as I will be going back to school soon (though I wasn't planning on it before), I will have even less time to spend on the contest.
