"(Y/N)! Let's go!"
You sigh as you stare at yourself in the mirror. Your room is empty besides the stripped bed, dresser, and the mirror hanging on the freshly painted white door.
You think about all the memories you had in this room. All the times you had sleepovers with your friends. All the times you cried yourself to sleep. All the times you woke up excited for a new day.
You grab the last box in your room and wipe away a tear as you turn off the light and fan in your now old room.
Running down the steps, you take one last glance at your house. You're going to miss Seoul, but your parents are being forced to move to Daegu for business. You're not really sure what they do, but it must be important.
As of tomorrow you will have a new home in Daegu. New memories. New friends... hopefully. It sucks that you have to go to a new school for one year only. For eighth grade. You have to learn to adapt to the school and then leave and adapt to another school.
You have to admit, it's going to be hard.
You walk around your house saying goodbye to all your memories. You sigh as you walk through the open front door. Time to leave.
You look back once more before hopping into the car. You have a long flight ahead of you.
Time Skip
You hop off the airplane with your bags and take a look at your surroundings. It's not that much different, but you are pretty far from Seoul.
Your family piles into a rental car until a new one can be bought. It's a lot of work to move.
You haven't actually seen your new house. Your parents didn't want to show you what it looks like because they didn't want you to hate it and refuse to leave.
You pull into a really nice neighborhood. Definitely high class.
Wow
"We're almost there!" Your mom exclaims.
Your dad grunts in agreement and you roll your eyes. He's not really involved with your life. He works all day and comes home late at night.
The car begins to slow down and you pull into a really nice house made of bricks with many windows and long white poles stretching from the roof to the porch.
Is this really our house? It's way too nice.
"Welcome home!" Your mom says.
Holy shiteu it is.
"What? This is ours?"
"Yep."
You jump out of the car as soon as your dad turns it off and try to open the front door.
"It's lockedddddd," you groan.
Your dad sighs heavily as he unlocks it.
"Do I get to pick my own room?" You ask.
"Sure, I don't care, just not the master bedroom," your mom says.
You squeal as you run up the stairwell and look around. You open door after door until you find a bedroom you like. They all have bathrooms and walk-in closets. Your parents must've gotten a huge promotion or something for moving to Daegu.
So far, you're pretty happy with your new life, you just need friends. You start school in two weeks, but maybe you will meet someone before that.
It's still going to be a few hours before all your stuff arrives, so your parents are going to go out to get a new car. You notice that it started sprinkling outside and the sky turned gray. Your parents go out anyways leaving you home alone.
